I have only intentioanlly "visited" someone maybe five or six times. Generally when I think I remember a poster in a thread I am reading having posted in other threads and want to look up what else they have posted to see if it is who I think it is. I am one of those who often accidently clicks on someone's name and ends up visiting unintentionally. That happens a few times a week. I would hazzard to guess that at least half of anyone's visitors are likely to be such accidents.

I never noticed that statistic, but I've had 352 visitors, and none of them recently enough for names to show up. Either I'm fabulously interesting or I've p*ssed a lot of people off! Also, apparently, it counts your own visits, because now I'm at 353 after clicking on my own name.

I've been wondering why so many people have been getting viewed by BoardTracker, too. Its weird.

Like does someone visit your profile and their names stays there for 10 days?(just an example)

I looked at the names listed on mine and can only figure out why 1 of them was/is there. The others I have no clue why they became interested in me.
The names don't go away, they only go away when there's one or two people bumped off the "Recent Visitors" thing to make room for one or two more people to view your profile. Its hard to explain. I do understand it, though.

You can visit anonymously if you logout first. It doesn't even show up as "guest" or anything .

OK, now I have 40, but the only one new name?

BTW, I think BoardTracker is a poster, but I could be wrong.
I noticed the same thing when I looked at yours last night! I just knew that had to be the trend. I'm sure it has to do with the beautiful picture in your avitar.

I can explain mine! I clicked on your name by mistake, I was trying to view posts & send a pm to another poster, and clicked on your name by accident.
No ulterior motives!

How do you find these "visits"? I'm confused on what you are talking about.

Click on your name, and then click "view public profile".

If you click on your username a window opens. One of the options is 'view public profile', click that and you will see the visitor info.

Me either so now there's another name on her list.

Could board tracker be what is listed if someone was to do a search on your username?

This is interesting. I've had 44 visits, but only 3 people (who are friends) are listed.

I have visited a couple of profiles and left messages (wishing a good trip, etc.) and I wonder if my name is there as a visitor? I don't remember where I've been to check it out, though.
