While kids are on GF Pirate Cruise, what did you do??
My boys will be taking the pirate cruise at GF from 9:30-11:30am. For those who's kids have done this already, what did you do for the 2 hours? I'll probably shop and hang out at the GF. Has anyone tried to go on the monorail to MK or Poly? Just wondering what creative or relaxing things to do.

Hi! We thought of sending DGS who will be turning 8 on our Oct trip. I'm sure he'd love the Pirate cruise, but he says he does't want to go without one of us
so we'll see. But we had planned to get lunch at the resort, since he'd be getting lunch on the cruise, and then we would just check out the resort.

My mom and I walked around the GF and then we sat by the pool while we waited. It wasn't busy and there were plenty of chairs so we didn't feel like we were "pool hopping" so to speak. When the kids were done we went on our way.

My kids did the one that left from POR. We were staying there, so we just went out to eat and hung around the room.
My kids were ages 8 and 6 at the time. They said that they liked it when they returned - "liked" not "loved" - but as we were planning our upcoming trip (they'll be 10 and 8 for this one), they said that it was "stupid" and they didn't want to do it again. I thought for sure that they'd jump at a chance to do it. |

We haven't done it yet. But, intend to in September. We're hoping for breakfast at the Grand Floridian Cafe while the kids cruise. Lobster eggs benedict. mmmm....

I took the monorail over to the Polynesian and browsed in the shops and just walked around. Then I rode the monorail around and returned to the Grand Floridian just ahead of a thunderstorm. The storm made the kids late because they stopped at the Wilderness Lodge (if I remember it right), took the kids off the boat until the storm passed and then they returned to the Grand Floridian.

My DS went to the Pirate Adventure at POR, but I figured I'd answer anyways.
Me and my boyfriend just sat and had a peaceful breakfast and enjoyed the scenery at the resort, then went back to the room to rest up for a few before picking him back up.

We had beakfast at the GF Cafe and then DH and DS went on the sea racers while I read in the GF lobby.
