Ok, I thought I would share by budget. Now, this was not the final amount that we spent - we got a refund of about $4,500 because our numbers ended up at 40 people. We also didn't have the children's count in there, either. This comes directly from my estimated budget, so if there is tax, it is already included in the total. Here it goes:

is this okay to do...?
So we super, super want a disney wedding & honeymoon and we like everyone have a budget... my parents have been working hard to save up to help us out huge, but I don't want to leave them broke as a joke! sooo... the escape wedding can be done way cheaper than the wishes, but the problem is I have a huge family! i can make 25 guests work, but should i be concerned with offending people? Is is reasonable to do the 25 guest ceremony followed by a small reception then invite the crowd (50-75ppl) to do a dessert (breakfast) later? please help!

I am cutting family from my wedding but I think what you are doing by still inviting them but maybe not to the ceremony is a good thing. I am just not inviting them at all and then doing a reception at home instead for them.

We looked at the Shade of Green because we are military, but we decided if we are doing a disney wedding... then we are doing the wedding in disney! period! It's a tough decision but we really can't "cut" anyone from the list, but we don't want to settle! It's a tough decision, but every bride has her challenges

Anyone out there willing to share their BEO for a wishes wedding - around 30-40 people...buffet.....not in the WP but with a dessert party? I am still pretty far out but only my DF and myself are paying. Trying to figure out now how much out of every check to do this. I know the base is 12k before taxes but when I called DFTW they told me its very hard to keep to the 12k... I dont have many people and its probably going to be more like 25 then the 30-40 but just to prepare. Any help ladies would be great. I am thinking of the Croquet gardens, not sure of venue for brunch at all, not to big on flowers,... I think Im driving myself crazy with all of this. |

If it makes you feel better, I can assure you that many of us have stuck to the minimums, especially those of us with smaller groups like yours. Yes, it's hard to stick to the minimum if you go absolutely crazy at the planning session and ask for one of everything they show you, but if you prioritize your must-haves and can-do-withouts (floral is a good one to skimp on if you want to save money), then you'll be OK.
