It sounds like you have a wonderful trip planned! 16 days are awesome and many people only wish thay had the ability to stay to 16 days!

Enjoy your trip.

I think it is great! You have time to relax and not feel rushed, if it rains one day you are not as frantic that you are missing something. We did 14 days last summer and are doing the same this year. You can really take the time to enjoy and "smell the roses" along the way!

What type of ticket do you use for a 16 day stay - an AP or a nonexpiring 10 day?

Sounds perfect to me. It doesn't seem to matter how many days you're at WDW, the number is never enough anyhow. We'll be spending 16 park days as well (surrounding a 7-night DCL Eastern Caribbean cruise, too), and I know there still won't be time to get everything done we'd like. Our APs expire on June 27 and we're not heading home until July 5--it's going to be a major challenge on our parts not to break down and use our 1-day tickets we got last year during free dining. Instead, we're going to attempt to spend the last week going to Universal and the WDW water-parks.

Have a fantastic time.

You can never have enough days at WDW!

Having a longer trip also means that you can spread out your itinerary so you're not trying to cram everything in and tiring yourselves out.

We're using a 10-day ticket with PH and FUN options and then we have some old tickets from 10+ years ago we're using for the last 2 days of the trip.

We thought of doing Universal as well but it is a $40 cab ride each way plus those tickets are so expensive according to their website. We are using Magical Express so we don't have the option of driving.

If you really want to go to Universal there are options. You can call Mears and get pricing on a shuttle. I think it might be $18 each way - better than $40. Or, you could rent a car for a day from the Car Care Center or the Swan/Dolphin.

I think you can get discount Universal tickets from AAA.

We use an AP - one you hit day 11 it is a break even. Also, you automatically get park hopping.

I paid $18 round trip for my dh's one day Universal/IOA ticket. They will pick him up at the CBR and bring him back when he is ready.

Personal Question

OanA -- you don't have to answer, but I was wondering. Any chance of a proposal to your girlfriend of 3 years on this trip? Polynesian, 16 days, 3 years with her, hmmm......

I'm planning a 2 week trip, it was originally going to be a 3 week, so here is my rough plan.

1 day at each park.
1 day at DTD.
1 day at both Universal park, never been to either one.
1 day Busch Gardens.
1 day at Sea World.
DH doing the Richard Petty driving experience.
And then some down time in between the parks to rest and just swim and dine.

Personally I wouldn't have any down time I'm a comando park hopper. I could go everyday from EMH to the Kiss Goodnight and be fine, but DH needs his rest. Your plans sound very busy and not much down time. Are you sure you don't need more breaks? I'm sure you'll have a great time.
