EE22, Baklava. Now, thought I was the greek. Of course, I think I am the only greek who does not love baklava. I dislike honey.
We tried it at epcot in marrakessh but, I still didn't like it. Thought their version might be different. Bug, makes a great greek cookie, grandma taught, but it is tooooooo much work for me.
And I do not care to hear about a cold front >>>> I am enjoying this. My room thermometer at 10pm with 2 windows open = 70 degrees.

Well, glad we all had a great weekend > I work mon & tues both 12 hr shifts. Ugh. Better get to bed.

It WAS in the 60's...turned on the air in the car to clear the windows...dropping into the low 40's now. I am not happy

I make a mean "sugar" cookie...everyone loves them. They are a tad easier as I don't have to roll them out. Kids asked me to not make them this year saving up for better things

My buddy had pics for me to see of Fantasyland. The new "castle" entrances look odd to me, but we'll see what's it's all about for real rather than pics. They liked their new room at POR

Another friend leaves next week and cannot wait!!

I agree the "new" fantasyland looks wonderful. Chicago Tribune travel section had a large full page article about it today. Pictures are very interesting but I cannot wait to see it. Think that will be the big draw now, at rope drop.

I wonder if Fantasyland opens "late" like some of the other Lands do

cookies are made with cream cheese, butter and canola oil and they are soft...frosting has almond flavoring in them. No choclate

I just always loved that cookie, so I bought an iron a few years back and got one for xmas once > so doing to grilles at once > now thats baking.

This week is work xmas party > thursday nite so had to have cookies for that.

It was wonderful and odd here this week. Warm. I actually have both my windows open and fan on. its in the high 60's, and tommorrow we are supposed to be near 70. Global warming??

70 degrees...no rain...went to Sam's. Got that done and the place was empty too! Better than going Saturday that's for sure.

mky...normally I don't mind running errands...it's just all the shoppers are out and about in December and they drive me a little nuts. Some of the traffic looks like ChicagoI'll continue to hybernate until January. One run still for Walmart and I'm done with going to stores till 2013!! There are a couple of parking lots here that are brutal too...only one exit and it's just not fun.

Black Friday must have done me in

I also hate pushing the cart through snow in the winter so I was thrilled with the April weather yesterday

EE22, good news for chicago > saying "new" police chiefs today cause of the 38 shootings last weekend. Don't think we will go up there xmas shopping this year. Tell DD to be extra careful.

Hi Everyone! Been busy here! I have been lucky enough to work everyday since we got power back. But I am exhausted. Between the storm, then 2 birthdays, Thanksgiving, and now Christmas...I am ready for a trip to Disney! But they just told us that our winter break will now be a long weekend so that stinks. No vacation for us until the summer. But I am really missing the mouse. Gotta say that I would love to plan something for August but fear that free dining will be a thing of the past with the new Fantasyland.

Hope everyone is enjoying the season. Have not even thought of baking yet. Just trying to get through the mail and laundry.

Well we made a decision >>> [insert band music] went with BC for april. Did the AAA rate / GV. Hoping it gets a better rate?? But right now we are fairly happy. Wanted to do something a bit different. Haven't been at this area for a while. But, we where playing and I scored CR / Garden / GV for june/ july & Oct's trips. Did the AAA rate. So am happy with that. CR garden is almost impossible to get.

So that is where we are now but subject to change. Trying to be a bit more economical, [baby steps]

Now, we requested for BC a high floor & epcot woods view? What is your opionion?? Just looking for something quietier. BC tends to be noisy.

The CM was very nice and helpful > but tried to "sell" the concierge at the BC a bit. Not interested > we don't feel very comfortable with that set up. Feels like they keep tabs on you sometimes?? Or maybe we are just paranoid.

I would go with a quiet spot at BC...we had a partial view of SAB and it was loud I thought.

Hope jury duty works out for you. Years ago DH was on a jury.

Yes, excited know it will be boring like sitting in dmv > unless you get picked. Not allowed to bring phone or lap top either into courthouse. Ugh. Got a book > be a long day but still not WORK.
