God's honest truth, I'm in your size range and there's no way I would do it.

It's already a pretty rough slide, and heavy things move much, much faster. The force at which you will plummeting down to the end will be pretty harsh. I still have scars from a rough landing from a thrill slide a while back. It's enough to make me very cautious.

IMHO you will go down the drop portion of Summit Plummet at nearly the same speed no matter how much you weigh.

What happens when you level out at the bottom depends on a variety of factors including the fabric of your swimsuit, how your arms and legs are positioned, and how much water is in the chute at that moment. There should be enough water down there to prevent abrasions and friction burns.

ok everyone seems to agree I will fit. Not everyone thinks I will arrive at the bottom in one piece.

I did read in a book that they recommend that persons going down the slide definitely wear a t-shirt because of the "sting" you will receive on the way down.

I really want to try it. Even though I could be taken away in an ambulance.

Summit Plummet I saw on the Travel Channel the other night on Extreme Waterparks is the # 1 tallest, fastest water slide in the U.S.

I don't want to go down the stairs...as I hear there is no cheater exit. They call the walk down the stairs..."the walk of shame".

I'm still thinking of giving it a try.
Am i nuts or what ??

Give it a shot ! I'm Pooh-sized and I loved it ! I have seen some people MUCH larger than I go down and no one got stuck. Words of advice ... one piece swimsuit !! I wore a tankini-style top with swim shorts. I tucked the top into the bottom when I got to the top (yup, it was a fashion statement !) and ended up with a strip of belly showing. That doesn't bother me - I'm having fun and I'll never see these people again so who cares. The part that bothered me was the super-atomic-wedgie ! It seems to happen to everyone though. You see lots of people doing a little dance at the bottom. If you want to wear a tshirt on the slide, tuck it into the legs of your swimsuit so it doesn't ride up and you can just flip it down at the bottom before you stand up ! Have a great time !
