How many people are planning to go to WDW in 2010?

I figured the this year (2009) the parks would still be crowded because people usually plan a vacation this expensive a year in advance. So a lot of the people going in 2009 made their plans in 2008. With the problems in the economy do you think the crowds will be less in 2010? Just wondering.....

I'm going in 2010 - buying my AP's and that is usually one way I know we will go. Heck once you have passes, just neededing hotel and food makes it so inexpensive to go. I think that if there were people who were passing this year due to the economy, will probably go next year......then again it could be exactly the same next year.

I am! I've been planning this trip for two years, for dd graduation. I'm on the fence on crowds...either low b/c of people saving, or higher than usual (but not peak high) from Disney offering great discounts to fill the rooms and parks. We are going 1/26/2010 - 2/9/2010.

I do the online survey things (sunshine rewards, cashduck, pinecone, etc), so because I've been planning this trip so far ahead and have had time to accumulate disney gift cards and disney dollars, about 80% of my trip will be "free". If I can snag a 40% code , it just might be all "free" !

The economy will definitely play a part in our decision. We went this year because it was planned last July. We only did one park day rather than our usual 4 or 5. I think folks will just have to decide what is right for their families.

I don't have any plans to go back in the near future. I went last fall for a week and will do one day at WDW the end of this month but that's it for me.

We will go in 2010. We aren't going in 2009 (our last trip was Dec 2008) but not because of the economy. I am finishing up my Master's Degree this year and don't want to (a) work on vacation (I'm an online student so I could but its not fun) or (b) take an 8 week session off and push my finish date int 2010.

We own DVC and will probably go in Jan/Feb

We are taking a family vacation to DW in 2010. More than likely September and hopefully free dining! We will find out this week - fingers crossed - if we are going this year as well.

We usually go once per calendar year. Not every 12 months exactly, but once in 2006, 2007, 2008, etc. So, yes, I plan on being there sometime during 2010! However, we go for short trips...4-5 days at most.

I would be sitting on the patio of the Fontana bar at the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas watching the dancing fountains on a warm balmy night whilst sipping vintage Champagne

Dec. 1, 2010 is my goal, trying to stay for 3 weeks but will probably go down to 2. Hopefully staying at the Contemporary.

Can't wait.

We made our first trip to Disney this past January and it was, without being corny, a dream come true.

We had hoped for a repeat visit during free dining 2009, but then our Canadian dollar tanked and my dad was diagnosed with inoperable double-lung cancer.

We thought we'd aim for January 2010 (to celebrate our son's 14th birthday), but DH works for a parts supplier to the Big 3, and with this week's news about GM and Chrysler, we have no idea if he'll even be working after the next few months. Scratch that one off the list now too.

Looks like our "trip of a lifetime" might turn out to be just that. Our one and only visit. Guess we will try looking on the bright side, and feel lucky that we had the luxury of visiting even once.
