Thumbs up

Excellent job Torsie. The cover is awesome! I love the way you placed the map in the book, very inventive!

your book is so cute. Buy a click type ballpoint pen that has a caribiner clip and clip it to the spiral ring. Then you'll always have something to journal with. I bet you are going to treasure this for years to come because of your child's participation![/QUOTE]

Thanks. Good idea about the caribiner clip pen. I did find that a regular pen with a pocket clip fits nicely on the tag ring If anyone is interested, I added more to the book and more pictures on my PTR (still on pg 1)

My daughter seems to think we made it to GIVE to Mickey Mouse! I do love Mickey, but...

(Dissers from the Creative forum may recognize some of their work here for which I thank you). The book zips all the way around which helps to keep everything together.

Outside spine (sticker on the spine I purchased from Michaels):

Inside (notice zip pocket, credit card slots, etc):

One of many planning sheets:

Resort Information:

Park specific dividers. On the back of the title page I put park maps:

Front Cover pocket (great for passports, boarding passes, etc):

And last, but not least, the super handy handles! (they go in when not in use):

There is another divider for each of the following:
Disney Cruise (our first, and boy is this section is getting full!)
Dining
"Mousellaneous"
"Money Matters" which I have included credit card company phone numbers, travellers cheques numbers, trip payment information, etc.
I also made my own Disney notebook paper
And yes, before you ask, my family thinks I am insane!

Begin building your own planning book/binder at your own risk!

This is awesome and so pretty. I am soooo going to copy you if that is okay!

Kathy,

First my mom's name is Kathy too and my dd name is Alyssa, so that's cool. Second where did you buy your planner. I just LOVE it! I really like that color red. Great Job!!

Confession: I have two large binders with Disney tips, info and stuff.

But I now want a cute little planner too!

And when I am done I am going to post pictures of all of them for my planning, binder/planners loving Diser friends!!!!

My husband may not appreciate my Disney addiction but I know you will!

I am glad you like it!!
I bought the binder at Walmart in the Stationary section (the brand is "DayOne")and the stickers are from Michaels. The binder comes in black also but the red reminds me of my Mickey!

P.S. Crazy coincidence on the names!

If you don't want to make one you should buy the Passporter! It's awesome!

http://www.passporter.com/wdw/guidebook.asp

I have the deluxe version which is leather and spiral bound, smart if you are going to go on numerous trips as you can just buy the inserts for your next trip.

They are all shown on that site.

You have a good Walmart...I went to two Walmarts, Office Max, Barnes N Nobles and Kmart and I could not find one planner with handles I guess I'll check the web

LOVE all the ideas and I'm going to have to copy some of them as well! Last year, I was pretty scatterbrained and wasn't that organized. We were at the ER the night before both trips for for ear infection and croup so when we left, I felt off and had everything scattered and it never got better the entire trip. I'm going to start doing one of these soon.

I have an old planner that I will convert but I DO have to get the Mickey stickers and stationary from Michaels!

I had lots of fun making this and am already setting one up for my Fall trip. Hope it helps someone I know I am a dork with the OCD planning and scrapping of planning LOL!

I loved how you incorporated the Disney scrapbook paper for your book. I made a travel "binder" for our trip last year to Disney World and it helped so much. I brought it with us since it had all our Character dining reservations, plane info and house info (we rented a house with another family).

I think I'm going to do what you did since we are in the process of planning our 2010 January trip! I absolutely LOVE Disney and this is such a nice way to remember such a fantastic holiday!

Thanks for the pics...
