And I still don't have time to scrapbook LOL

I did however find time for a much simpler project. I got all my fun pictures from 2009 (two trips to disney yay) and found a cute REGULAR photo album. It is the kind with slots for the photos and then space next to each to write a short caption. I am using stickers and other cut-outs from my "I don't have time to scrapbook but here's the junk for it anyways" box
I'm also using index cards, which fit perfectly into the picture slots, and then every so often i can have a "title card" for different sections or to journal if i have something more long winded to say. If I ever get it done I'll post some pics!

I have so much scrapbooking stuff and have very few pages completed from when my DD was a baby. She's 7 now and my son is five! I do have one of those photo albums somewhere in my house. I should definately get some photos out of drawers and into it!

Outside spine (sticker on the spine I purchased from Michaels):

Inside (notice zip pocket, credit card slots, etc):

One of many planning sheets:

Resort Information:

Park specific dividers. On the back of the title page I put park maps:

Front Cover pocket (great for passports, boarding passes, etc):

And last, but not least, the super handy handles! (they go in when not in use):

There is another divider for each of the following:
Disney Cruise (our first, and boy is this section is getting full!)
Dining
"Mousellaneous"
"Money Matters" which I have included credit card company phone numbers, travellers cheques numbers, trip payment information, etc.
I also made my own Disney notebook paper
And yes, before you ask, my family thinks I am insane!

Begin building your own planning book/binder at your own risk!

I would So pay someone to make me one like this lol.

WOW!!! I just found and read thru this thread!! Thanks Kat for starting it...and for all who have jumped in with ideas and pictures!! I am such a visual person...with OCD!!!! I have wanted to do a binder or something but couldn't quite figure out what or how...this is awesome! We go back in Nov., so I think I have plenty of time to get one going! I am not a scrapbooker...I just take tons of photos then put in vacation albums (separate from other family photos)...but I love all the scrapbook paper and stickers!! I am gonna make my dd7 one for autographs!!! I think I might take her old Disney autograph books apart and redo them trip by trip. Some of the photo sleeves aren't holding the pics in all that great anymore. Anyway...I am gonna do one for her for our Nov trip, and one for me as my planner. I have a quick question for now...surely will have more later! What glue did you use to stick the scrapbook paper in over the binder paper? Kat, or whoever else did it this way? If I don't have sleeves and just use paper/cardstock...can't imagine it being regular Elmer's...as that glumps and makes the page behind it have humps and irregularities.....Thanks for the inspiration!!!!

I used scrapbooking glue for the most part-I love those little roller thingies with the sticky tape type of junk, but also have some glue sticks bought at the scrappin store.

In other news, I finally found a half-size three ring binder!! I found it at Office Max and they even had page protector sleeves. I'm using the dividers that I made by trimming down pocket-dividers from a regular size. I'll post some pics of that and my photo album-updates when I get a little further along with both.

Hope everyone is having fun!

Hey KAt,
How's the binder coming along- love to see some pics of the 1/2 size and how you feel it's working out!

I love it! I'm not great with graphics and have a junky printer so I mostly use stickers, which works out well for me The best part about this binder is that I was able to use bits and pieces of other binder whatnot and toss them into this one and it all fits and works really well together.

This is the front cover:

Inside: I always keep a little legal pad in the pocket. This works for my system of OCD keeping track of how much I spend. When I get home I take out all my reciepts and record what was spent (along with usually a note on if it's for food or other). Then I stuff the reciepts into the upcoming pockets and tada, I probably need to have my head examined.

The first pocket's always travel paperwork- in this case my eticket for the plane and MXpress documentation.

After the travel pocket, each day has its own pocket followed by a few blank pages. I use the daily pockets for ADR cards, daily info cards if I'm going to need them, special stuff for the day (in this case, tix for MNSSHP). As the day happens I'll add reciepts, fun stuff I find (stickers, etc).
The pages that follow daily pockets are tucked into mini-three ring binder page protectors (YAY OFFICE MAX!) and are for any myriad number of random notes I'll make.

After the daily pockets, I have a divider for each park. Behind the dividers are more empty page protectors which will hold times guides, park maps, etc. Sometimes I print out all that baloney at home and have it ready before hand, this time I'll likely wait and just use the ones they provide when you get there.

Finally, I've got a couple cute pockets from other binders that I've saved that are just a nice place to stuff random junk from the trip. One is a buisiness card holder, great for holding onto room keys, park passes etc for multiple people, and the other is just a zipper pouch.

So, that's basically it! My pocket dividers are made from actual regular notebook sized pocket dividers- I simply cut them down to size, and by the time you punch holes in it, the cut side that's open holds together well enough for my use

WOW!! Kat~ That is great!! So...what size exactly is that binder? I looked at Target the other day and I am having trouble finding a size that I actually think would work....I guess they were running low due to school starting up around here! I might have to go to our Office store....also, did the page protectectors come with this binder? Just curious what all you had to add...besides the dividers.

awww thanks

The page protectors did not come with the binder, I bought them sep. They were in a thing with I want to say 25 page protectors. I got both items at Office Max. The binder itself is 7x9 with like a 1.5 inch spine. It did only come in black at my store, but that is what the stickers are for LOL

I was just saying in another thread that Disney needs its own nut tree with pictures of all of us on it. You deserve a spot at the very top.
