spare yourself from asking me to do karoake

This is for my stepson who does not live with us. Budget I would say around $100.

With that age you have to know their interests and go from there. My son turned 16 this year and so did/will all of his friends and each and every one of them liked different things. If it's too much to handle an Amazon Gift certificate or a gift card from a favorite store is always a good idea to keep you from appearing "uncool" and they can get what they want!

A couple of ideas:

Stylin' clothing item like a hoodie from one of the teen retailers (AE, A&F, etc..)

Itunes gift card

Something to do with his favorite sport or hobby.

Tickets to go to an event (with friends or with Dad).

If you aren't sure, don't rule out cash or one moderate gift and a check for the rest.

HTH!

These are really good ideas.. Maybe get him a variety of gift cards? One for his favorite store for $25, an iTunes gift card for $25, Amazon gift card for $25 and then $25 cash?

I would love that!

DS is 15 and for Christmas I got him:

Guitar Hero for his game system
I-tunes gift card
Hoodies from Aeropostle
Sport team Hoodies
Axe & Tag body spray
Tickets for Larry the Cable Guy (we're going tomorrow night)
Tickets for Motley Crue (3/17 - I think I'll need earplugs for this one)

He was really happy with all of his gifts.

And I will also give them the BIG Hershey bar's or BIG bag of M&M's or Skittles. It's like giving them a bag of gold. Theyre so happy.

Food and money.

he already has a girlfriend, that it why I am trying to stay away from cash, and maybe gift cards. Cause he will most likely buy her something instead of getting something for himself.

Gas cards?? That is what my DD who is almost 16 wants. She plans to take her test on her birthday and then she has to help fill the gas tank when she takes the car (we have a 3rd car and we will pay insurance!)

I'd go with CASH. The BEST present any 16 year old can get.

Otherwise....

Some type of jewlery, Ring...Medallion.
GiftCard (iTunes, Amazon, Gas)
