Caribbean Beach Resort - Best Building???

What is your favorite building to stay at CBR? What one is closest to the food court? Is Martinique the most newly refurbished building?

Martinique and Trinidad North are closest to OPR and most of the buildings within them are preferred and a slightly extra charge. We always book standard and have stayed in Aruba once and Jamaica once. They are great non-preferred locations, a short 5 minute walk across the bridge to OPR. Barbados would be slightly further, and Trinidad South (pirate rooms) is the furthest at about a 7-10 minute walk. There is an internal shuttle that runs the resort continually and each village has it's own quite pool & bus stop.

All of the rooms/villages have recently been or are currently being refurbished. They are still working on the pirate rooms in Trinidad South.

A preferred room (rooms in Trinadad North and Martinique) will usually run you an extra $25 a night. The same fee for a Water View, King, or Pirate Standard view room.

If you do decide to book a Preferred room, request a room in Martinque as this village is closer to the food court section of Old Port Royal while Trinidad North is closer to the Main Pool area.

If you decide to book a standard room, Jamaica is our favorite. As Momof2disneyboys mentioned, both Jamaica and Aruba are a short 5-7min walk away. The walk is great, across 2 bridges in the middle of the lake and through a small Island.

We do tend to favor Jamiaca as the 3 buildings closest to the bridge mentioned is also slightly closer to the bus stop area in comparison to the Aruba Section and their 3 closest buildings. Not to mention that Jamaica is sometimes the first village picked up/dropped off on certain bus routes.

CBR is our favorite resort

Martinique was actually the first village to be done with the refurbishment.

I think Jamaica is just gorgeous, and it's a great location without paying extra for the preferred room.

There are chairs in the rooms but they go to the table and probably not the kind of chairs you'd want to sit in long for a sit outside. There are lounge chairs on the beach for that at the lake in the center of the resort. There is a walkway on the 2nd floor not an actual balcony, but yes you can sit out there with the chairs from your room, albeit not too comfortable for long.
