We have about 7 here and it's still coming. All of the schools in Phila and suburbs are closed. My office did open and I'm here but there aren't many of us here- it's like a ghost town.

My DH, a teacher, got the call at 5:00 this am that school was closed in MA. and I still had to make the commute into Boston to work. It was very nasty. I can't wait for spring!!

No way. It took me an hour to clear the deck so the doggies could potty. I have like 7 inches out front and 12 inches out back it is really drifting. I hate snow.

Schools and daycares are closed here and my DW still had to go to work. I am lucky enough to have a job I can work from home. If you call what I am doing today work

Just about everything around here is closed. But, not my job!!

Like dixiegirl, though, it's pretty much a ghost town - a lot of us didn't make it in. Everything is pretty messy out there - a car just drove into the dumpster right outside one of our offices.

They offered to buy our lunch today, the big-hearted souls! I'll pass, and will probably try to hit the road around 12:30...we'll see...

I HATE WINTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now we really know he doesn't read the boards.

We decided against the 60 mile commute to work on I-80.

No Greg, he doesn't read. But I would still write it if he did. He knows I'm mad. I mean is it really worth it? Take a vacation day for goodness sake! He is getting an earful tonight.

I'm in South Jersey. Not sure of the snow total but I HAD to go to work today. And the roads are terrible. My kids are home from school. And I'm just sitting here with not much to do. I really can't make any phone calls (I'm in sales) because no one else is working today.

So I'm just surfing the DIS killing time. Oh well. At least it is almost lunch time.

I had to fly from Albuquerque to Denver to Atlanta yesterday. The world is nuts when it's beautiful and sunny in Denver and snowing in Atlanta. Our flight was delayed several hours but we finally got back home. Then we had to drive about 45 minutes to get home where thankfully school was cancelled so we had the day off! Woo hoo!

yay!! a snow day!!!!
It didn't arrive till around 10. When we got up this morning the plows had done their job and we were thinking of trying to go to work (60 miles away - east). But we had no cable, no tv, and our only radio stations play Pennsylvania news and weather so we didn't know how it was back east. Then, the snow started again (YES!!!). and we stayed home (:

For all waiting for a snow to come, just keep safe everyone. Cook something for all to keep it warm.
