It is a bit easier for us, but that is because we are bigger to being with. I always tell my wife when she complains about how I eat when dieting compared to her. If you want to weigh 200 lbs then eat like me! Lucky for me 200 is a good weight for me, although I'm aiming for 190.

The cheese tray is very good also! My kids had cookies and milk just about every night of the 7 night cruise last time we went.

I lost around 2 and 1/2 lbs a week, which is about all one can expect to lose and keep off doing the crazy "lift weights/eat low fat" diet I used.

And ABSOLUTELY it is easier for us men to lose weight. Sorry.

Sorry, too about the 3000, folks. I'll promise to represent the thread well when in public... (Does the Wonder count as "public?" )

For what it's worth... I've lost about 42lbs so far for this cruise (actually mostly for myself, but it'll help offset "cruise eating"!!)

Sounds like everyone is doing great with the weight loss. I am pretty content with staying at 210 lbs. As long as I'm healthy and strong I don't care much what the # on the scale says.

I've always had good results with a 30-45 minute daily exercise routine and low-fat diet. I still eat carbs and a tiny bit of sugar though. I doubled-up on my treadmill time today 'cause I didn't work out yesterday. 30 minutes on the treadmill, Wii Fit break and then another 30 minutes on the treadmill.... it does a body good.

Good attitude!

But you are GI Joe. I mean your arms are about as big around as one of my legs.

Your body must burn fat like it's nothing because your metabolism should be high with your exercise routine, right?

We bow to your greatness!

UGH, I hate talking about weight. It is my biggest failure in life. I told DH yesterday that I need to tell people that I am just not available in the mornings and get to the gym. I'd like to lose ten before the cruise. It won't make a big difference on me. I have a LONG ways to go, but I'd like to have a small start. I have never gained weight on Disney trips because we do so much walking.

Truthfully Chris it's a constant struggle. I'm 41 and have been a Soldier for a very long time. That's a lot of wear and tear on the body. My job requires me to be in shape but there is a high price to pay for that. I'm not sure I would make it through a full day without Motrin!

Tru Dat!! I'm about to turn 40 and the weights I can lift just don't increase like they used to!!

Paul's right about the number not mattering. It's just a way to measure change at first. Once you get your body where you want it to be, it's just a number (LIKE AGE!!! ) Not everyone needs to look like Mr. Incredible, but I'm glad some who do are serving in our defense!!

Wow.

I didn't know. I am 37, and I understand the struggle.

Thank you for your service! And we still bow to your greatness!

And for others out there trying to lose weight, I do the Beachbody workout each morning. It is a really good workout routine and anybody can do it because it is done in stages. I hope this helps someone out there, because it really has helped me.

This may seem totally off the wall, but can you grab a lounge chair on deck 9, recline it, and fall asleep at night with the sound of the ocean in the background? I'm not talking just a nap, but let's say you fall asleep at 10:00PM and don't wake up until 5:00AM; by accident of course. Would that be wrong?

Aaron, are you seriously going to sleep outside?

I bet the crew would come by and bust you back to your stateroom.
