Sanaa was fabulous

Dined at Sanaa a couple of weeks ago for lunch. Nine in our party so I got to sample quite a bit. My husband ordered the club sandwich (he's not the most adventurous eater) and requested naan bread instead of what was on the menu. It was lovely - I wouldn't be surprised if they added it to the menu. I had chicken with red curry and beef short ribs. Both were tasty - chicken was a standout. Lamb kefta and tandoori chicken also very good! I got a half carafe of one of the less expensive cabs and it was wonderful. Nice wine list. Service was excellent. A few ordered cocktails and red sangria and I've got to say - they were all amazing. Not sure what they are doing behind the bar but without exception - every cocktail and sangria was fabulous (and yes - I sampled them all - gotta do my research right ).

Definitely a must do on our trips from here on.

And the restaurant itself is beautiful - lovely creative interior design and huge windows with views of the savannah.

We just ate there a couple weeks ago at our trip to AKL Kidani. It was wonderful! The view is just breath taking with the savanna right there. We are not very 'ethnic" eaters, so the waiter was so great in explaining the flavors of the food and how to "piece" together our meal. The same with the wine choices. Very nice, elegant...not a HUGE meal (which we were grateful for- since we always tend to overstuff ourselves at those buffets).

The best part was it was NOT crowded. I think still being new- it hasn't been discovered yet.
