From the web site:

Lidia Bastianich & her son, Joseph, opened Becco in the theater district in 1993. It is best known for its acclaimed $17.95 pre fix lunch menu & $22.95 pre fix dinner menu that includes a large assortment of Italian antipasti or a classic Caesar salad together with unlimited tableside servings of our 3 daily pasta preparations. Becco also offers an extensive a la carte menu including chicken, fish, veal, & pork entrees & a wide selection of Italian wines, all priced at $25.00 per bottle. We also have an extensive reserved wine list with bottles ranging from $30.00 - $2,000.00.

They take reservations and the first question they ask you is "Are you going to the theater?"
Wow, thanks for this! I love Lidia's cooking show on television. We go to Broadway all the time and I never realized her restaurant was right there!
We have to try this

Jane Fonda is on Broadway!!!!

She is one of my favorite stars. I have to see her, even if the show is an absolute bomb. Anyone have a discount code to see 33 Variations? It's in previews right now. Good tickets are $116. I'm hoping to do better than that price.

You didn't kill the thread. Actually, thanks for the playbill.com link. They DO have really good seats for Jane Fonda at half price, $68. Close, but a little too off the side for me as I want to try out my newly Lasiked eyes by sitting up close and center orchestra. This is my one chance to see Jane Fonda act live.

I've loved her since Barefoot in the Park and admired how she picked substantial films like Julia and China Syndrome over fluff. I went to her book signing a couple years ago. She was fabulous. This is a woman who has come into herself and some wisdom that only comes with age.

I did find out something interesting through the website. I could get the premium, no discount seats, dead center for $187. OR, I could pick the "regular price" seats which are only 5 seats over, (still center but closer to the center aisle,) and in the third row, for $117 instead! I'm going to do that instead. I'm still trying to figure out what night I want to go.

Did you try mezzanine? I find if you can get first row mezzanine, center, those are often the best seats in the house.

I agree for musicals. You can really see all the action at once. But since this is a play with only a handful of people, I kind of want to be sitting in Jane's lap, so to speak.

God, do I sound like some stalker obsessed fan?

I walked by a lot of Broadway theatres as they were loading out the closed shows, a few weeks ago. Very sad.
