DD and I are going to see Priscilla Queen of the Desert, it's premiering its tour here this weekend. I am so excited!! Hopefully DD can stay awake, she has 4 performance of Beauty and the Beast this weekend, and then we head straight to Priscilla after the last show!

I saw original cast (well, minus Alex Wong) and just loved it. Very much worth the price.

We saw the Mystery of Edwin Drood in NYC a few weeks ago. It was really good! Wasn't sure I was going to like it, but it's a comedy with audience participation. Definitely worth seeing.

Drood. You can't really spoil the ending because the audience chooses the ending.

Dh bought Pippin tickets today.

I saw this yesterday when you posted. Pippin is my husband's favorite. I got a email for a pre-sale, but the tickets are full price . I'm going to wait and keep my fingers crossed for a discount because I'd like to bring my kids to see it too.

Oh, I loved Mary Poppins. So sorry it's closing. 6 years is a very good run, though.

I agree, loved Mary Poppins. It is my favorite musical!

The ones I would say good riddance to are Dreamgirls and Wicked.

But, I'd like to know how Jessica Chastain is in it.
I'm seeing it today. I'll report back. It's an old play based on a Henry James novel. The film was adapted from the play (playwriter became screenwriter.)

Just got an email that said that the (New York) City Center is doing a short run of Fiorello! You don't see revivals of that show much, maybe because the material is dated? Anyway, it holds a place in my heart because my synagogue did it when I was a kid and my dad, whom we lost eight years ago, played Fiorello. He couldn't sing a lick, but he looked like Tom Bosley who originated the role on Broadway. We always made fun of how he basically talked the tunes LaGuardia and Unfair. I'll have to go see it for the nostalgia.
