Secret Verandah Rooms

Am booked in a cat 7 room 6634. This used to be a cat 5/6 but was downgraded to a 7 because of the partial verandah obstruction. I like the idea of the navigators verandah because it seems more cozy, private and less windy. I also like the idea of a plexiglass verandah for the price of a cat 7. Would like any input on these types of rooms so I can decided whether or not to keep this room. TIA.

Personally, I loved being able to look out the window in the morning from bed and see the sea. I would much rather have a plexiglass verandah than an enclosed verandah that you have to stand at the porthole to look out. That's just my humble opinion.

I haven't stayed in the room yet but we have that stateroom booked for our next cruise in May.

If you haven't seen them yet here is a link to some stateroom reports for that room: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/cruis....cfm?Room=6634

Our DU TA says that is her favorite room on the ship so we took her word and booked it for our next cruise. We were also debating between a "true" navigator verandah and this room. If we were on the Wonder I probably would have chosen the Navigator because I like the look and feel of the verandah and it has the larger oval opening as compared to the Magic's smaller round opening. You can see pictures at the platinum castaway site.

We stayed in a secret verandah room a couple weeks ago -- 7120. We absolutely loved it. It is actually very open and just shy of a full verandah.

We stayed in one of the Aft Cat 6's with the solid wall verandah on our first cruise and I hated that solid wall. DS could not see over it and it was a pain to have to stand to see out. I would rather sit out there and relax AND have a view at the same time. I was SO jealous of the clear plexiglass ones once I found out that not all verandah's are created equal. We stayed in one of the SPH rooms this past summer and honestly, I didn't hardly miss the veranadah at all and I really think it was 'cuz I hated that solid wall so much. I have heard those "secret verandah" ones are REALLY nice for the price! I say stick with it! They're hard to get - don't give it up!

Thank you so much for all the responses. I will keep my secret verandah room and be thankful for my luck at being able to snag one.

I have 7620 for the WB Trans-Atlantic and am VERY excited to have it for 14 days. I booked it opening day for two people and will be auctioning off the other 'half' to friends and family when the time gets closer.

We have this cabin booked for our Baltics cruise for the 3 of us. It wasn't available the first day, but I saw it online a couple of days later and had my TA switch us from one of the true Navigator's.

Too funny about auctioning off the other half, but you can only auction off 1 spot since the cat. 7's only sleep 3.

Are the 2 cabins on deck 6 any different from the 2 on deck 7? Are the ones on deck 6 less obstructed?
