Disney Rewards Card Questions - The DIS Discussion Forums

I have a few questions about the Disney Rewards card that I got from my Disney Visa. First of all, how do you check how many rewards dollars are left on your card? I have been to the chase visa site and all I can find is how many I have tranferred onto the card. My card expires at the end of December and I want to make sure I spend them all. Also, I ordered at Disney.com. They ask for my rewards card number plus my visa number. It didn't say on my invoice if my rewards dollars were actually used. Does that happen to anyone else?

Also, can you take the rewards dollars and buy disney dollars?

If you go to :
Chase.com
Click on Manage Disney Rewards
Clck on Redeem My Rewards

It will tell you the balance on your existing card. I believe there is an 800 number on the back of the card that you can call and get a balance.

I went to chase.com. On the first page I didn't see where it said manage disney rewards so I logged in. It brought up my disney visa but only shows me how many reward dollars I have on the visa available to transfer the card.

Any ideas? I know I could call but whenever I get on the phone my little one screams and these phonecalls are never quick.

To answer your other two questions:

Disneyshopping.com will apply the rewards card as payment for your purchase first. If there is an unpaid balance remaining after using all funds on the rewards card, they will charge your CC for the rest.

In theory, you are not supposed to be permitted to purchase Disney Dollars with your rewards card. Dream Rewards Dollars are not supposed to be exchanged for cash or its equivalent. But, it really is not enforced uniformly across the board. It will depend on your local Disney Store and how they handle this.
