Thanks. I don't know that I will ever be that ambitious. I still haven't started my first t-shirts. The supplies are still sitting in the bags.

I just got done dying 10 shirts. They are now in plastic bags, which are in one big garbage bags. Tomorrow night when I take them out, do I just put them right in the washer? Wont the dye still be wet? Will the dye dye the inside of my washer? Do I take out the rubber bands? And does anyone have any tips for getting dye off your hands? Thanks!

Hi,
You can put them in the sink and rinse the excess dye if you like, remove the rubber bands before putting them into the washer, yes the dye is going to be wet and messy, the dye would not be inside the washing machine it will wash away.
About the dye on your hands unless you buy a product that removes the dye ( I don't have it) only time will remove it, my hands are always blue, or green, purple you can use some vinegar with just soap.

Thanks for explaining that. Sometimes I over think things! I guess I should have saved my gloves then! Also, after the wash you can just throw them in the drawer right?

No problem

I use gloves and get dye too so don't feel bad, you'll get more dye when you wash them so be ready yes after washing them, put them in the dyer on LOW heat.

This might have already been answered, but how much soda ash do I need to soak the shirts in?

Newest creation. The color of this dress is more green like Jade green but it looks blue on the pic.

I love this!! If ours turn out, I may have to break down & buy some dyes from Dharma. I have a question about AFTER you're done. Do you unwrap the shirts & let them dry or unwrap them & immediately wash out the excess dye? We did ours last night, & they are still wrapped up. I'm trying to wait patiently to unwrap them!!
