It's Official we are changing the Cities name from Atlanta to "Atlantis" because if we get anymore rain we're going to be underwater...I swear!

Pixie & marrimouse,

Just checking in to see if you guys have floated away yet?

It is unbelievable...I have lived in the Atlanta area my whole life and I have never seen anything like this. The pictures from the downtown connector were shocking to me.

There is no flooding in or around where I live but everything is saturated. A friend of mine has a 7" rain gauge...he said it had filled and he had emptied it 2 x's and this was as of Sun. morning. I saw where places W of Atl were getting 16+ inches yesterday.
The last weather report I saw was predicting rain through the weekend ....

pixie, How is Lake Lanier looking? Is it full again?
I guess it would be safe to assume our drought is over. Hopefully, the sun will shine soon.

Stay safe everyone...

Thanks for the thought

We're East of Atlanta and are not floating, we are a good ways away from the Alcovy and Yellow Rivers so we're doing okay.

Pixie, they said that LL was 2.5 feet below Full Summer Pool this morning but, that's likely to change in the next 24-48 hours...

Yes, we can say the drought is over the lake looks nice and full.
We had a season pass for the water park and i think it was back in 2007 we walked under the bridges because the water was gone, it was shocking and sad, but not anymore, our rain dance worked lol.

Im from Houston so we are used to see floods there but not here the images of 285 and 20 are shocking

Glad we all doing ok girls.

OK - I have my three shirts sewn (that part was easy enough), pulled to mickey heads and soaking in the soda ash water. Tonight I am going to dye them but I have questions:

1. How do you make sure the mickey ears are getting the right amount of dye? THey seem tiny now that they are pulled.

2. How exactly do you do the rubber bands? Around the whole mickey head that is pulled? Doesn't that cause a lot of white between the ears where there is space? This is the step that concerns me the most so all tips would be appreciated.

3. I am doing halloween shirts for our trip and I love the ones in your signature with the orange mickey head - how did you do those colors to get it like that? The black is just enough and spread so well!

4. How do I know there is enough dye in the shirt when I put it in the 'pizza slices'? I want a lot of color and less white.

5. What do you cover your area with? I was thinking of doing this in my kitchen on my island and covering with trash bags and also the floor in front of me.

6. Does the dye stain a stainless steel sink when rinsing? It will be night and I don't want to go outside to do it.

7. If I dye them tonight, are they ok to sit until dinnertime tomorrow which is when I'll have time again to rinse them?

Thanks so much - I am so excited to do these!

Just wanted to post another thank you. We recently returned from WDW and my family got several comments on the shirts. Some were cute and comical, like an emcee said my DD had had an obvious laundry incident, while others were heartfelt appreciation from CM and even some other guests.

Thanks! My kids thought they were the coolest things since sliced bread when they got compliments!
