Any idea where to get it in a B&M store? I have a batch that I'm dying this afternoon, so I'll need to wash them tomorrow night, and even Amazon Prime won't get it to me in time.

Diluting the dyes did make them lighter, btw, thanks for the tip.

How did you do the stenciling part? make your own stencils? what kind of paint? and the process of painting? I am going on the wonder in August and would like to stencil a design on the back of the shirts.

Thanks

Thanks for any suggestions

You could draw the Mickey head on with glue and then dye it. Washing it removes the glue and leaves a white outline.

Have you seen the bleaced out shirts? It works best with a black tee. You scrunch it up and spray it with bleach. We made one the other day and cut a mickey head from a piece of foam. It left a black mickey head and the rest of the shirt where we sprayed with bleach turned a reddish brown. They came out really pretty.

Okay, so I think I can post a pic of my latest shirts. My friends asked me to post a how-to on my process, so I did, and it gave me a link. Here they are:

Pixie, how do you keep your black from running all over your shirts from the ears. I put them ears down and everything, but the black still took over.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Hey, guys. I have a question for you. Where on earth do you get bottles for tie dyeing? I have a few that came with a kit, but I don't want to have to buy more kits to get the bottles. I have been to Michael's, Hobby Lobby, and Lowes to try for bottles. Everyone knows what I'm talking about but no one knows where to get them. Any help would be appreciated.

You can order them online from Dharma, but have you tried cooking stores? It's the same sort of bottle that cooks use for liquid garnishing, sauces, etc. You could even use the old-fashioned ketchup & mustard bottles, but they're opaque and you wouldn't be able to see how much liquid is inside.

I am a cosmetologist so naturally I went to Sallys Beauty supply for "color bottles" around a buck each!

Thanks ladies. Oh, and I am currently using the old condiment bottles, but I have to use plumber's tape around the threads to keep them from leaking. A lot.
