BWV standard studio room request

I just rented DVC points for a BWV standard view studio next September. We have read that because of the one elevator bank there, hallway walks can get very long. Is there a name of a section or building closer to the elevator and pool?

Standard view rooms have a view of the parking lot or the front driveway for the resort.

Rooms close to the lobby or elevator will also be very close to the DME buses and luggage trucks and luggage handling area. These areas can be noisy.

For standard view, I always request top floor, across from the bus stop. The bus stop is about half way down the floor and is away from the luggage check-in area. Plus there is a stairway at the corner of the building you can use to get to the bus stop or parking lot quickly.

We are here now and we are ground floor across from the bus stop and it is AWESOME. 10 min walk to Epcot, 15 to HS, 3 mins to bus stop and 5 mins to the pool. No stairs and no elevator. Awesome.

Oh and our view is a lush green field with the canal to the side. My kids love to run around out there.

Yes! When I have a standard view room, I usually request ground floor near the bus stop. So convenient with multiple doors to come and go to everything.

I always ask for top floor near the stair that lead to the bus stop. And if you're lucky you get a view of the Epcot fireworks

Generally speaking, for all views at BWV (Boardwalk, Standard and Preferrred - although there is a lot more variation with preferred) the most convenience is close to the elevator on floor one or two. You'll minimize stairs and when can't take stairs, the elevators are right there (there is almost no way to completely avoid stairs or elevators at BWV - the lobby is on floor two, the pool is on floor one - its like a huge walkout house). But, the better views and quieter rooms tend to be the ones high up and far from the elevators - but I suspect most people who like those rooms don't mind taking the stairs - if you have a stroller and babies or an ECV - those rooms aren't great. A middling floor in the middle is either the best compromise or the worst situation.

BW also has - in my experience - a lousy track record with meeting room requests. You can ask, but we've yet to get a request met in a dozen years of ownership.

I did pretty well with my top floor, across from the bus stop request for standard view. Got 3 or 4 every time and close to the middle. I even scored the corner 1 bedroom one time.

I haven't done well with boardwalk view requests. I request top floor, close to the elevator. Got it one time - it was the 1 bedroom that is really above the Village Green. Most of the other times I was near the end. Was there last week, got 3005. Awesome view though.
