This was only our second DCL cruise, and our first one was 2001 and I don't remember seeing any doors decorated then, so the tradition must not have caught on at that point.

Thanks for all the inspiration from all the DIS'ers! I started compiling magnet art from various posters a couple of months prior to our trip. I personalized some, and had some DISigners personalize some for me, and printed as photos so the paper would be durable. I brought "magnet tape" with us and just put the magnets on when we got on board. I had more magnets than I put on the door, but had fun with it anyway, and since we were on during Mousefest, some additional magnets found their way to our door too - what fun!

Here is one of the pics of our door. There were a few more below the shot including a pic our son colored at dinner one night and cut out and put a magnet on so he could participate too.

Have fun decorating!!
