CBR was Perfect - Lots of Pics!!!

We were at CBR Nov. 1-8.

DAY 1: We arrived by Magical Express at 12:20p.m. We went to check in and our room was ready. I had requested building 44 or 45 in Jamaica and had also let them know that we would be celebrating our boys birthdays while we were there when I made our reservations back in August. I had mailed snacks to CBR ahead of time and they had them waiting for us at the front desk at check-in. They placed us in Jamaica 45 in room 4555. It was perfect. We had a water view and the bridge crossing over the island was just outside of our window. We had a bunny towel animal waiting on us in our room.

A photo of our building...

The view from our room...

Our room on the second floor next to the corner room...

Afew random shots of the Carribean Beach Resort...

DAY 2: We spent the day in the parks and arrived back to our room about 9:30p.m. to find a spotless room and each of the boys had balloon bouquets and autographed pictures of Mike & Sulley from Monsters Inc. waiting on them. What a surprise!!

DAY 3: Another day at the parks to return to 3 new towel animals waiting for us and again the room was very clean.

We also we to the Hoop-Dee-Doo Review. The food was really good and the show was very entertaining. We were given a front row table by the piano.

DAY 4: Another day at the parks.... another clean room.

DAY 5: Our youngest woke up at 3:00a.m. with a tummy ache. Needlesss to say we were up for about 2 hours with him vomiting We slept late and had lunch at Le Cellier. This restaurant is a must!! We then decided to go to Animal Kingdom to see Festival of the Lion King. We had only been in the park for a few minutes when we were approached by 2 CM's. They asked us if we had been in the park very long and we said "no". They wanted to know if we had dinner plans or any other specific plans for the afternoon. We said that we didn't have any plans for the day except for seeing the Festival of the Lion King and taking a trip on the Safari. So, then they asked if we would be watching the parade, we said yes. Then we were asked if we would like V.I.P. seating. We said YES. The men then told us that we were the family of the day chosen to ride with Mickey on his float in the Jungle Jammin' Parade After seeing Lion King, we didn't think we would have time to see the Safari so we were going to get a Fastpass for it to ride it after the parade. The Fastpasses were all gone for the day. I asked a Safari CM how long it would take to ride it because we had to be at a certain spot at a certain time for the parade. He said it would be about 20 minutes. He checked his watch then personally escorted us down to the Safari truck, he put us directly on the truck and explained to the driver that she had to have us back by a certain time. She got us back on time and when we arrived back from the trip, the parade directers were waiting for us. They gave us our parade clothes and put us up on the float with Mickey!! they assigned us our own Photopass Photographer. I will have more photos when my CD comes in. It was awesome. We had so much fun!!! It is memories that will last a lifetime!!!

Our youngest son took this photo of himself during the parade. He wanted to see himself in a parade...To funny...

DAY 6: We took the day off and went to downtown Disney to DisneyQuest. The boys LOVED it!!!

A sky writer at DTD..

DAY 7: We went to the parks to ride our favorite rides before we headed home on Saturday morning.

Our room was perfect, the boys LOVED the pool, the resort is beautiful, everything was so quiet it was like we were the only ones in our building.

WE will DEFINITELY be staying at CBR again on our next trip to see Mickey!!!

Thanks so much for the resort report and the pictures. I was undecided about CBR for our upcoming grand gathering. I was torn btwn there and CSR which we enjoyed on our last trip. You helped me confirm that it would be a perfect choice with a very relaxing atmosphere. It looked like you had a great time. How did you get the balloons with the cards for the boys? We will be celebrating my parents 40th anniv. and I would love to have some special touches for them.

I also have another question for you. Did you pay for a preferred room or waterview? It looks like you had a very convenient location in the resort.

So glad you had a fantastic time at Walt Disney World. There's no better place to spend a birthday than in Disney!

We've stayed at the CBR three times and loved it EVERY time. Your pictures are absolutely gorgeous!

Thanks for the great report.

When I made our reservations Back in August... I told the CM on the phone that we would be celebrating our boys birthday's at Disney. She put that note on our reservation. At check-in, the CM gave them "Birthday Buttons" to wear during the week. Nothing else was mentioned. When we arrived back to our room.... the balloons were just there. I was just as surprised as they were because I thought they had to be ordered somewhere!!

I only paid for a standard room. I booked this trip with the fall discount code that came out in August. 7 nights with dining and a one day base ticket four each of us. I really didn't need the one day tickets because I had 5 day park hoppers and 5 day water and more tickets left from our previous trip in 2006, but it was a better deal to book a package than room only for us because we wanted the dining plan and the trip insurance. When we checked in, the CM said that we could not have the tickets left from our previous trip and the new 1 day tickets on the same "Key To The World Card". So..... he put the tickets that we already had on our room key and refunded us the $290.00 for the 3 Adult and 1 child 1 day tickets . He put the $290.00 as a room credit to spend for souvenirs or whatever, but we used our Disney Rewards Card instead and the $290.00 has already been credited back to my Disney Visa. We checked out on Sat, Nov. 8 and the credit was on my account by Mon. Nov. 10th.

Thank you so much for sharing!

Sounds like you had such an awesome trip! We stayed at CBR on our very first trip to WDW (in 2005) and are staying there again in January! We absolutely can not wait to be back there. The other resorts haven't compared to CBR, it's just so beautiful and relaxing!! I'm so glad you had such a great experience. Thanks for all the great pictures!

May will be our 1st stay at CBR....I couldn't turn down the buy4 get 3 free offer.....we were going to do a cruise but decided to just spend the whole week at WDW....never done this before. I picked CBR because I plan to schedule a lot of down time....it looks like a good place to hang out with a 6 year old. Personal favorite it POR...but CBR theme looks more FUN.

Talking Very nice, Thanks!

I have read a lot of mixed reviews on CBR, so it was nice to see a happy camper report. I've got 10 more months to wait...ready to go now.

Thank you for sharing your photos. We took our first vacation ever to WDW and stayed at CBR. It was fantastic, and mere words cannot express my enthusiasm. Your pictures brought me to tears, literally, because they brought back fantastic memories. I will be going back, very soon. No trip planned yet, but it is coming.

Thanks again! So glad you had a great time!
