Corey and Julie -- Have you rented a U-Haul...

to bring all of Ferris' "baby stuff" to the ship?

I remember those days well!

I have started making the Ferris list of things to pack/bring.

Yes, I am one of those people. Lists are my thing! They are all over my desk and I am sure there are a few in my purse. I even wash them and turn my favorite hoodie pink (thanks to the makers of Post its).

Poor Corey will have to pack for himself this trip.

My mom raised me to make lists. I would forget my head if it weren't attached. And there is always something that doesn't make it into the suitcase, even if it is on the list. That doesn't count what didn't make the list that I find out I wanted/needed.

Great picture of Ferris. He is already holding himself up!!!!! He is such a cutey.

Me too - a list maker. I usually start posting the things we will need list on the whiteboard on my fridge a week or two before we go anywhere and then I add to it as I walk by and think of things. I found it much harder to travel (or let's just say I found that we had 3x as much luggage) during the toddler years, when the simple things like a blankie and paci would not make them happy. As much as I loved that time in their lives, they are much easier to pack for now!

Julie, Love the new pic of Ferris in your sig.

Ok, it's not anything about the actual thread (though I'm crazy about making packing lists, too), but I am SOOOO excited to see a picture of Ferris! I'm not on Facebook (I'm a teacher, so I feel like I need to be kinda careful), so I haven't seen him yet. What a cutie - thanks for sharing him with us!!!

Corey will be OK. Wait until there's more kids! I actually resent DH only having to pack for himself. I spend days packing for four, and he tosses his stuff in the bag and just has to show up for vacation.

I would let him do it, but we'd get there and he would say, "Underwear- I needed to pack that for EVERYONE?"

OMG, I have lost my lists! I have searched high and low and even in the freezer! I finally gave up around 10pm and made new ones; I really hope I didn't forget anything that was on the original list. Am I the only one who suffers from Mom brain?

My DH puts the list in excel and prints them out. That way he can't lose them.

I still have mom brain and my son is 4. I don't think it goes away.

Umm, NO. For me it was slightly worse when they were small and I was sleep deprived. But, sadly, it never really goes away. My theory is that now your brain is doing double work...you think for you and for Ferris. Just wait for #2 - thinking for three has put me over the edge!

I always say that my children now have part of my brain. Serioiusly, I can't remember anything.
