Maybe it was a bad week for the whole system or maybe it was POFQ-specific, but in my many visits I have never ever experienced such consistently poor bus service.
I wrote the same thing. So you had the problem in May, and we just had it. I've been reading this over and over again. POFQ has GOT to get on the ball with this. We already decided that it was such a huge problem that despite all of the beauty and delight of POFQ, that this "benefit" will have us staying elsewhere on our next trip.

We'll have our car when we stay in October, and after reading these two reports, we'll just drive to the parks. DH wouldn't enjoy waits like you have described. It's a shame they can't do something to solve the bus issue.

Ok folks, ya'll have me a bit scared about our stay in Dec. with the buses. We have stayed at CBR for our last 3 trips and the buses were great the 1st two and the last one left a lot to be desired. We wanted to try POFQ because so many of you have always said how wonderful it was there, and the buses were good because of being 1st on and 1st off. So, we were so excited to try this and stay there in Dec., infact we even booked a Bounceback offer for 10 days next Aug. Do I need to change them to something else? I'm scared!

I really think it's hit or miss with the buses. I've heard both good and bad about the POFQ buses, as well as other resorts. I've heard horror stories at Pop but when we were there in Dec in 2007 we never had to wait more than 5 mins.

mom2taylorandemily... you're also going in Dec so the buses might not be too bad

Oh boy, I really did not want to read that someone had a 45 minute wait, much less a 2+ hour wait for a bus.

We are staying for the first time at POFQ in Oct and getting my DH to agree to stay there was like pulling teeth because of some very bad bus service we had at POR back in 2002. I told him we would be 1st on/1st off and that it would be great. DH and DS are monorail spoiled because we have stayed at the Poly every year since then. This year was go cheaper or don't go at all and well, that was a no brainer so I picked POFQ becuause of it's small size and beauty.

Guess I'm going to have to pray to the bus gods to please not let me hear "I told you so" through my whole trip

I just read two reports of poor bus service at POFQ and I have to say I am very surprised! We have stayed there 4-5 times over the years, often at Christmas, and hav enever had what I considered to be poor service. I would not go so far as to say it was the best bus service on property, but certainly not bad.

I was hoping that you both were there at about the same time and that there was some underlying problem that WDW would have rectified. It would be sad to discover their service was going downhill.

We have only had

one problem with a bus while staying at POFQ. We were leaving the MK in the afternoon and there three bus loads worth of people waiting. The line kept increasing so when a bus came there would still be two more bus loads worth of people waiting.

I wanted to know is that I'm planning to stay in POFQ for my birthday in January 14, 2010! And I wanted to know is that Does the POFQ has a free dining when you book this hotel and I don't know any thing about the free dining for January 2010! Please help me!

At this time I don't think there is a free dining offer for January. The current offer runs through 12/17. They may offer one yet. There is a link at the top right part of the banner entitled Discounts. Click on that any time to see current discounts offered by Disney.

Disney has not yet announced any specials for 2010. Nobody knows what they'll be offering for January.

You'll find specials faster on the Codes & Rates board. That board is pretty fast about posting these things.

I'm curious -- Are you just assuming there will be free dining since this has been true for the past several years? Or do you actually have free dining already as part of the package you booked?

She said earlier that she has a bounceback which for the second half of August would be free dining.
