Bldg 5

is my personal favorite. That's where we stayed this past trip. No, there is no parking lot view from Bldg 5. One end is near the food court and is across from Bldg 4. The other end is off the river. One side faces the pool and the other a courtyard.

Let me add that we have stayed in Bldg 4 with what one might call a parking lot view. You really don't notice the parking lot. There is a lot of landscaping between your room and the asphalt to make the view very nice.

Just back from POFQ. We stayed in Building 1, a short walk to the bus stop and lobby. We had a nice view of the river. We loved the theming and the staff was great. However, our room was in need of some attention. There was some mold on the tub and dirt in the corners of the room. The drain in our tub ran very slowly but this was fixed by maintenance when I told the front desk. The bus transportation was very, very crowded (standing room only)... Overall, we enjoyed our stay but would probably choose another resort for our next visit.

We stayed in 5 last December. There were no parking lot views that I remember. The pool is on one side and on the other there is a garden with a fountain and benches. It was a short walk to the pool, the bus and the food court and lobby.

I know that folks hate parking lot views but in this little resort I don;t think they would really bother me, there are no balconies to sit on. Just external corridors. I don't remember sitting at the table and really relaxing with the view, there are so many inviting areas outdoors that I would end up meandering with my book until a place
"called" me.

re parking lot 'view', for me; it's not so much the actual view, it's the noise factor. We always seem to get a bldg. in the AS resorts where a tour buses decides to parkwaiting to pick up his charges in the am.

i much prefer a wakeupcall from stitch over the drone of diesel engine

honestly, even with a balcony room @ WDW (other than am coffee or the time we enjoyed AK-sav & CR MK view) i rarely spend much time out there...usually too hot & buggy for my taste.

So, we will carry an air mattress and they will take turns sleeping on it.
Anyone? Please?

the best place to put it next to the door. There is some floor space there. That wouldn't work if you're going to need to get out of the room before the kids get up.

I really don't know if they plan to refurb soon. It was last refurbished in 2001 or 2002, shortly after the September 11th attack. The resort was completely closed for it. I don't think that they will be putting in queens any time soon - it would be a tight squeeze putting two queens in one room.

The only moderate with queen size beds is CSR and supposedly the only reason they got them is that they are a convention resort and need to compete with the other convention resorts.
