Let's see -- I got off the POFQ boat at DTD on Sunday evening (4/26). The only other time we went there was by bus from AKL so we could take the boat back to the resort.

But any way, I think for an HC room, you have to be on the first floor. So, room 5123 would be a good room to try for if it is HC.
pwdebbie...so glad to hear your trip was so amazing! I can't wait to go and experience POFQ for myself with my mom. Glad to hear that the CMs were so friendly, etc as well. I have to go find that lady in the food court!

I'm kinda in the same boat with you and your dh in terms of dh's health but it's my mom instead. She had open heart surgery about 17 years ago and after surgery, the dr's messed up her dosage of blood thinners so she ended up having a stroke and her short term memory is horrible now. She knows she loves Disney because she can slightly remember our old trips when I was little but that's about it. Also all the photos we have from past trips helps her 'remember' that we went but I don't think she can actually recite any details or specifics, just what she sees in photos. I took her for her first time in 15 years in Dec '07 and she doesn't really remember a thing about it when I talk about it to her now. I have to dig out the pictures and she says she remembers then a little but I kinda wonder if she's saying it so she doesn't make me feel bad. Regardless, I'm taking her back in September and I can't wait (neither can she! haha!). Maybe if we just move down to Disney it won't ever give her a chance to forget

Me too - 2 weeks tomorrow (we actually leave home 2 weeks today, though !!).

I just wanted ot thank lucky978 and miprender and others for answering my questions - I'm sure I'll have more yet I really need to spend less time reading these boards and more time doing my actual planning !

Question

I have a dumb question, and I ask it only because I want to check the etiquette.

What do you tip the Mousekeeping per day?

We are leaving Toronto the evening of May 7, and am very much looking forward to waking up there on the 8th ready to have a LONG LONG awaited family vacation.

Any input is appreciated! Thanks!

This has been a much heated topic on the Dis boards lately.
Apparently, according to some, this is not a tipped position and many don't tip. But for those who do - $2.00 - $5.00 per day seems to be a standard amount.
Have a great trip to WDW and I hope you enjoy POFQ as much as we do.

Also if you are tipping check out the DISings thread. They have cute mousekeeping envelopes you can make. I just dowloaded them to word and printed them out.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread....=tip+envelopes

Scroll down on Page 13 and there is one for the POFQ. Very cute.

Thanks for the advice, you guys! I appreciate it. And I will definitely check out the envelope idea. I don't have a colour cartridge in my printer (don't ask...), but if I have some spare envelopes, it gives me and idea.

Can't wait to get going!!!

You could pick up stickers at the Dollar Store or Wal-Mart and use them for the envelopes.

We took the bus from AKL to DTD after our breakfast on Sunday morning 4/26, but didn't go to DTD at night.

Hope you enjoyed your trip!

This is EXACTLY what I was going to do when I first read the post. I have a couple of things to get there, so I will get small envelopes. My daughter already has a ton of Princess / Pooh stickers, so we'll make that a craft time thing for her this week while I do my last minute house cleaning thing.

Just curious. Was your group in Building 5, 3rd floor? I ask because two of your girls look like the two girls who were smoking outside our door. They were still in their pjs, so I don't think they traveled too far from their room. We were in 5323.
