Did you book a king room at POFQ? I'm not 100% sure, but I think all the corner rooms in bldg. 5 and bldg. 6 are king rooms.

We're going over Christmas too, and staying at POFQ (first time)! What are your dates?

For some reason this seems to be mentioned now and then, but we have been in corner rooms, with dbl beds, in both blgs. Some corner rooms are king, not all.

Sorry, We always book a king at POFQ and last year the CM, at check in, must have informed us incorrectly. Go figure another mis-informed Disney CM.
Have a great vacation!

It's always strikes me as most odd when CM's don't get it right even at their own resort! We've had this happen often.

Just last August we were in a corner room in blg 6 overlooking the river - dbl beds.

Breakfast items

Are there individual packages of cereal and/or doughnuts available for purchase at either Jackson Square or Sassagoula Floatworks?

Do the King rooms have a sleeper sofa or can a roll-away bed be rented? Thanks.

No sleeper sofa in any of the moderate resort rooms, but a rollaway can be requested - $15 a ngt last time we had one. Best to call housekeeping when you get to the room and ask them to bring one up. Much quicker this way, from our experience.

Yes - if I remember correctly, the food court has a bakery with donuts and bagels and such. I also believe they have the individual packages of cereal as well.

Welcome to the Dis!

She is correct. Room requests are not set in stone. I always call back a month or so before just to confirm that the room requests are still in there. I had it happen once that they mysteriously were "deleted".

Oh that's cool, we'll be there Dec 17 -27. What are your dates?

Have you been to the resort to check it out? Our last trip there my daughter and I took the boat over from DTD, just to walk around and check it out. It was just as lovely as the pictures I've seen. It had a lovely peaceful energy. Even my daughter fell in love with it, even though she's resisted it for years.

I'm really glad we'll be there at Christmas - instead of one of the bigger resorts. I love WDW but I absolutely need a break from the crowds at times. I figure I'm much more likely to get it at a smaller hotel like FQ.

We have almost the same dates, we'll be there the 19th-27th.

I'm really excited for the smaller more tranquil feel I think we'll get at FQ as well, I know the crowds will be crazy that week and being able to remove ourselves from the craziness will be a welcome feeling. I have never seen the resort in person, just pictures. I wanted to stay there a few years ago when we went with friends, but they wanted to stay at CBR, so I just put FQ off until another time.

I'm really excited - just 8 1/2 more months to go........... (not sure if it will EVER get here! )

Disney does not allow more than 2 people in a king-size bed room, unless the additional person is under 3 years old. Therefore, they won't bring in a roll-away for you, and it won't be equipped with a sleeper sofa.
