I heard that they now serve Abita beer (a local New Orleans beer) at the resort. Can anyone confirm this? I'm a big fan, and it's hard to find bottles and impossible to get on tap up here in Minneapolis, so if I can have it on tap during my stay, I'll be VERY happy.

I can confirm this! No Purple Haze but they did have the amber on tap!

Awesome! Amber wouldn't be my top choice, but that's usually the only one I can find on tap, so I'll take it! Thanks so much!

First-time onsite

Hi all,

I'm staying at POFQ in mid-March for my first on-site Disney stay. I just found this website/forum and justhave to say that the wealth of information here is fabulous!

When I booked my stay - going solo - I hesitated to choose POFQ. It seemed like it was too good to be true. I'm glad this thread is here to show that it is not.

I can't wait!

You are going to love it at POFQ and I am certain you won't regret staying onsite at all. Have a ball!!

I'm sure I'll have a great time! I decided to take a gamble and I'm looking forward to it more and more.

I'm going solo and I have a pretty full itinerary so far. I do have friends/family in the area, but they have no idea yet if they can join me. So, I made my own plans.

Whoo-hoooooo!

Family has a timeshare close in Kissimmee, which is why I have never stayed on-property. I can't wait for the experience and hope it is great!

Excited...we just had a mishap with our airline and had to reschedule our flight. We were staying at WL, but nothing was available with the 4/3 so we got POFQ. I am actually wishing we would have made our original reservations here. What a great resort. We can't wait to go in May with our 2 little ones.

Well, I just booked 7 nights at POFQ. We had our hearts set on POR, but only waterview was available (on 4/3 offer). Now I'm trying to learn about and get psyched for POFQ, which I'm certain is going to be a lovely resort.

When I called the website showed availability for POR, but CM said there were no more rooms. So armed with only the trusty map from OP's fan-boy site (wich I pulled up while on the phone with the CM) I requested bldg 5 or 2.

Thus far it looks like...
- POFQ is charmingly small
- DtD boat will be equaly great at either POFQ or POR
- My kids may even enjoy the pool theme a bit more at POFQ vs Old Man Island pool at POR
- My family will gain 5 pounds each on beignets.

My first big question is about bus service. At WDW we have had great bus service at Pop, AS Music, AS Sports, and CBR. We have had so-so bus service at POR. We will be driving down on this trip. Will be better off to plan to driove to parks and just not take chances on bus service from POFQ?
