I love POFQ! My wife and I stayed there on our first trip, which was our honeymoon, and we're going there again in two weeks! I'm originally from New Orleans, so it's nice to go there and not feel so homesick, even if it's not the real thing.

I want a full trip report. We're going for the first time in May. It's the 2nd Mod we've been to - but we've been to all deluxe and value resorts. Thank goodness for Disney and the military discounts. Then we go back in October to SoG. Yes

So glad I found this thread!

Anyone know how come it's not on the 'sticky' page as the official POFQ thread? The one there is still from 2004.

It should be on there, but I think the sticky message perhaps needs some tidying, as the newer FAQs are all mixed up with the older ones.

I think it might be easier to list all the current FAQ threads at the top of the sticky message (in neat Deluxe/Mod/Value order) and then have the list of older (now closed) threads nearer the bottom of the page.

Mods, would it be possible to do this at some point please? Many thanks.

Andre

Coffee maker filter

Does anyone recall what type of filter the 4-cup coffee maker in the room requires? Basket or cone? I know coffee is supplied, but I want to bring some of my own... I just need to what what style filters to buy.
Thanks!

Basket. I've just added that to the wording on the coffee maker in the FAQ, as lots of people like to take their own.

Has anyone used the Internet connection in the rooms at POFQ? How is the speed of the connection? Where is the connection (near the phone? near the table/chair?) - just wondering how long my cable needs to be in case I bring the laptop.

Thanks!

The connector is normally on the tabletop in the rooms, and the supplied ethernet cable is about 1m. So if you want to use your laptop on the table it's fine, but bring a longer cable with you if you want to lounge on the bed (or take a chair outside) while surfing the net.

Speed is OK, not state-of-the-art but you'll get a decent 1 Mbit link (upload and download).

Cool Yippie

We are going in a couple of weeks and I am jumping out of my skin!!! So we are going with another couple and want to have attached rooms. Give me ideas on where to stay. We have water view rooms and did I mention this is our first time at POFQ...yeah!! We also want to stay close to the pool area. We are so excited.

Next to the pool - building #5 or #2 water view.
If you want a nice view of the river and a very short walk to the pool and CS stay in building #6.

Check out a map of CSR to see what is your liking. POFQ is a very small resort and walking from place to place does not take more than 5 minutes.
