cirque vs blue man

Hi all! For those of you that have seen BOTH, I would like your opinion.
We are 5 adults and two kids (9 and 11) and we have not been to either and must choose one or the other....
so, what do you suggest?
(I don't know what to do!!)

Anne

They are both great. BUT I would say the Cirque is grander and more amazing and impressive for adults. Blue Man group was a much bigger hit with the kids. If you have never done either and pleasing the kids is not the primary priority, I would do Cirque. But both are great.

Definately Cirque! It's an awesome show. Blue Man is good too, but Cirque is much better IMO.

Whichever you choose -- enjoy!!

If the 9 and 11 year olds are girls, go to Cirque. If they're boys, they'll like Blue Man better. If you've got one of each, I'd choose Blue Man.

Cirque is definitely a more amazing show, but Blue Man is pretty much pure unadulterated fun. It's also got an interactive element to it that Cirque does not have.

I'd pick Blue Man group. Kids and adults alike will love it and age 9 and 11 are great times to go. CIRQUE can wait .....

Cirque. Hands down. Didn't take me a half a second to decide. This isn't even a choice at all.

Due respect but you can see BMG at your local skating rink.

Ya gotta be in Orlando or Vegas to see a Cirque show.

BMG is a show. Cirque is an event.

Untrue. This season, you can see Cirque in Boston, DC, Atlanta, Miami, Montreal, Ottowa, Toronto, Milwaukee, Honolulu, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Tupelo, Biloxi, Baton Rouge, Mobile, Lakeland (FL), Gainesville, Tallahassee, Sunrise (FL), Rockford (IL), St. Charles (MO), Hidalgo (TX), Highland Heights (KY), Tampa and NYC, among several other cities.

Internationally, you can see Cirque shows in Taiwan, Korea, Australia, Spain, Belgium, England, Ireland, Scotland, Austria, Denmark, Switzerland and Germany.

Cirque currently has ten shows on tour in the US, Canada and around the world.

Plus ... in addition to Orlando and Vegas, Cirque has permanent venues in Quebec, in Macao, and at Tokyo Disneyland.

Also ... there are several Cirque shows available on DVD (although you really have to be there to "get" the magic of Cirque).

I would choose blue man group - but that is my personal preference. La Nouba is not my favorite cirque show, it is good, but we loved BMG.

2 adults - no kids.

Hands down Cirque. We saw it for the first time when my kids were 4 & 8 and then again when they were 5 & 9. They want to see it again this year and they are now 8 & 11.

We loved it so much.

Another BIG vote in favor of Cirque. We have seen both -- DH, DS (10) and me. There is simply no comparison. DS said that while he thought Blue Man Group was fun and funny, he said it was like something you could see on tv and still find funny -- that it wasn't an awesome experience the way that La Nouba is.

BTW, we just saw Kooza (one of the traveling Cirque shows) here in Boston and highly recommend it. if you love La Nouba, you don't want to miss Kooza.
