I just got back from Old Country Buffet - The DIS Discussion Forums

...and I'm starving!!
Could it be because I was there with my ex-husband and his girlfriend (and finance of 4 months)

Could it be because 10 minutes into dinner my ds9 starts puking in the trash?

Could it be because ex-husband and girlfriend just continued to eat like nothing was happening?

Could it be because 20 minutes into dinner girlfriend was sobbing at the table that my ds3 doesn't like her?

Could it be because 30 minutes into dinner she starts talking to a stranger (man) while ex and I were at the buffet and the man wouldn't leave?

Could it be because 45 minutes into dinner she had an axiety attack and choked on her steak?

Could it be because ds3 spilled an entire cup (thanks dad) of soda all over himself, his crocs and my purse?

I swear the people at Old County Buffet COULD NOT wait for us to leave

AND on the way out ds3 got a gumball, of course if you get the green one you win 2 kids passes and guess what? Yup we won! I was dying, almost rolling on the floor when I had to go see the manager to tell him YES WE WOULD BE BACK; AND IT WOULD BE FOR FREE!!

I can't beleive my night. Well, off to look for day old pizza

Sounds like a typical night at our old country. I would think you kind of blended. But I"ve never heard of leaving there hungry.

Here in NJ we don't have alcohol in OCB. Imagine if the fiance had been drinking.

First of all, as soon as ds9 got sick I spent a while in the restroom with him. He has this "thing" that makes him sick often, dr's can't figure it out, it just happens. I was pretty sure they would be ready to leave-I know I was pretty ready, but they just kept eating

Why was I with the ex and new girlfriend? Because ex DOESN'T WANT his girlfriend and I to be friends, then suggests we go to dinner. Oh, yeah, he watched the kids today so I could work. Due to naptime and convenience we decided to let him watch them at my house. At the last minute girlfriend asks if she can come. There is a long story behind it, but I really couldn't say no. Well, I techinically could of, but ex also spent the night last night

to watch the kids and she was pretty upset about that.

No, why would he pay for me? the kids were free (coupon), I paid for myself and he paid for them. He did leave the tip though.

LET THE FLAMING BEGIN!!

Oh, yeah, Tag Fairy, there has to be something here for you to use!

No flaming from me! I was just really curious about how you ended up there with them! It sounds like you showed them how to be a great Mom and held your head high. And really you and the ex will ALWAYS be the parents to your kids so it is great if you can at least be able to have a speaking to each other relationship with him and the gf for the kids sake.

Girlfriend sounds very interesting. I must say that the anxiety attack coupled with choking on the steak was the best part of the story for me!

I hope everything is ok with your son who was sick!

Most importantly, did you get something eat after you got home?
