I added your recipe to the list. I called them Meatballs (tangy BBQ). I love Sam's meatballs-we use them alot. One thing I do (not crockpot) is use them along with Ikeas gravy (for meatballs) so good, esp. with cranberry or lingonberry.

Thanks lttlmc3 for the review.

Bumping up and added recipe.

Just bumping this up-there are alot of great recipes here. Check out list on page 13, post 192 http://www.disboards.com/showpost.ph...&postcount=192 maybe you'll find something to make tonite

I came to get a recipe for pulled pork.

Okay, so I went with a pulled pork recipe I found elsewhere. Here's what's cooking right now. I got this from about.com-southern food. I modified it-see below.

Ingredients:

* 1 boneless pork shoulder roast, about 2 1/2 to 3 pounds ( I used 2 small pork tenderloins)
* 1 cup chopped onion ( I used one half large onion-chopped large)
* 1 bottle (12 ounces) barbecue sauce, your favorite (I used a little less-saved for the sandwich and added some ketchup and vinegar)EDITED-I would leave out the vinegar.
* 3 to 4 tablespoons honey, or to taste
* dash hot pepper
* 1/3 c. brown sugar-ADDED AFTER TASTING IT
* sandwich rolls
* coleslaw, optional

Preparation:
Place pork roast in a lightly greased 3 1/2 to 5-quart slow cooker. Combine onion, barbecue sauce, honey, and hot pepper; pour over roast. Cover and cook on LOW setting for 7 to 9 hours. Serve on buns, topped with slaw, if desired.

My method-
Okay so I modified the above ingredients. I used 2 small pork tenderloins. Sorry the package doesn't have the weight on it.

I browned the 2 tenderloins and then quickly browned the onions as well. I put the onions in first then put the pork on top. I put the BBQ sauce (Sweet Baby Rays) in a large measuring cup. Squeezed in a little honey. Small splash of tabasco. Added some ketchup and splash of vinegar to make more sauce and then warmed it in the micro for about 2 mins. Poured the sauce on top and turned the slow cooker down to low (started it on high). I added a few Tbsp. of water as well.

Smells really good in here right now with the smell of seared pork and onions. I check the sauce in a few hours and if it needs additional sweetness I will add some brown sugar.

We have softball practice tonite so this will be a quick supper to eat after. I'll report back on how it was.

Okay, so I made the pulled pork 2 posts up. I came out well. I did taste it before it was finished and added about 1/3 to 1/2 cup of brown sugar. I like my pulled pork more sweet than tart.

We have a lot of leftovers and could have done with only one of the pork tenderloins. Only 2 adults eating it. We'll probably have it again tonite, after softball practice.

I also made some quick coleslaw to top it with. And added a few dill pickle slices. Delish!

I can always use some more recipes, this is a great thread.

I'd like to add Taste of Home's 'Sweet and Tangy Pot Roast' to the list, I was never able to make a good one before but this recipe has made it a family favorite.

Crock Pot BBQ Pulled Pork

This is a great recipe for fall & winter. Hubby & kids love it!

1-Pork Loin roast
1-apple juice (store brand is fine)
1-Pork Rub (Grill Mates by McCormick's is great)

Night before: Pierce loin several times with fork. Put in gallon size zip lock bag coat with pork rub. Shake in bag to coat well. Refrigerate overnight.

In the AM: Put loin in crock pot, cover with apple juice. Cook on LOW all day (6 hours). Pull apart with fork & serve with favorite BBQ sauce. YUM-O!

Enjoy!
