In Case of Rain

I was just trying to think of a few good (dry) places to get inside if it rains. Ellen's Energy Adventure is always good, so is the Hall of Presidents. Any other good spots to get out of the rain?

I was waiting for DH when he rode Tower of Terror at DHS, and I heard thunder. The kids had just fallen asleep, so I went into the nearest store. I walked away from Tower of Terror on Sunset, and walked into the first store on the left. Not sure of the name, I can't remember. Well it started pouring right after that and I spent 45 minutes there, as more and more people started coming in! The kids slept through the whole thing. About 10 min after I got there DH texted me that he was waiting it out (had just gotten off the ride). He met me when the rain let up, and since his ride on ToT was the last thing we planned for that day anyway, we left the park.

It was barely raining when we left, but when we got back to the room at Pop Century it was raining again and continued raining more and more. We went to the Grand Floridian for dinner at 1900 Park Fare and it was still raining. It was just a bad day for weather, so we were glad we were at the park early and got to do everything! This was on July 15th so if any of you were also there you know what I am talking about!

We also hit rain at MK the first day we were there. Went into PhilharMagic, came out to rain coming down in sheets! We ran into Pinocchio Village Haus and stood there for a while. We left when it let up and got to our dinner ADR at LTT early just to be safe in case it rained again. Earlier that day it had also rained but not too bad. DH was able to take DS3 on Aladdin's Magic Carpets because there was no lightning so they ran the rides!

The day we were at Animal Kingdom it rained right after we left. Felt so lucky!!

The second day we were at MK we were lucky too. No rain from morning EMH when we arrived to 2PM when we left for our afternoon break. We returned for dinner at Crystal Palace. It rained lightly while we were in there but nothing bad.

Despite all the rain during our trip, we had a blast and would do it again in a heartbeat!! It made it an adventure, DS3 loved wearing a poncho, and we laugh about it now! Actually we laughed about it while going through it too!

At HS, we ducked into the Indiana Jones show as the rain began. Shortly after the show, the rain stopped.

The Land at Epcot is always nice. Lots to do and plenty of choices for food.

Club Cool. A nice sip of Beverly will help you dry off...

We always just try to stick it out. Bring ponchos with you in a purse, backpack, tote bag, or fanny pack. If you're at Magic Kingdom, the Haunted Mansion or Pirates of the Carribbean or the Carousel of Progress are longer indoor rides that are great for avoiding rain in. Also, rain is a good (and busy) time for exploring the shops on Main Street. If you're at EPCOT, Ellen's Energy Adventure is a great idea, as is the American Adventure show if it's playing at that time. If you're at Hollywood Studios, I would suggest going to the Magic of Disney Animation or the Great Movie Ride. I'm not as familiar with Animal Kingdom, but it's probably a great time to explore the shops or see the shows if the timing is convenient.

We were at Mk one day last month and it pured for hrs, we had ponchos
and we walked around, it was pretty peaceful

We also went on, Haunted Mansion, Hall Of Presidents, Carousel of Progress,
Buzz Lightyear, Monsters Inc,TTA, we did it all
and the best part, the rain left and we could still do all the outdoor rides too

At Epcot, the movies in France, China and Canada are all dry and cozy. Also, the big store (MouseGears?) is good for killing some time while it's pouring. The Emporium at MK is similarly large; all the stores are connected, so you can basically walk all the way up Main Street and stay dry. At AK, try FoTLK or the Nemo show. Or Dinosaur is inside, too. At DHS, Little Mermaid or Muppet Vision.

Really though, there are a ton of indoor attractions. Rain really doesn't ruin WDW for me!
