Best US Hotel option for Family of 5

We are planning a visit to US & IOA in June 2015 b/4 a DCL cruise. We have 5 (2 adults and 3 children ages 15, 13, 10). What is our best option of the 3 deluxe US hotels? We are considering staying on site to take advantage of the Universal Express Pass.

Thanks!

We had the same demographics last year. We chose Portofino due to the room size in square feet. We found that prices are comparable between all the onsites when you calculate the cost vs. area.

It was the deluxe two queen room. It was the most costly single room (not a suite). The teens appreciated the large bathroom. That one room at PBH will spoil you for your cruise cabins.

You can see all of the room layouts online at the uni and loews websites.

Have fun!

Thanks for your response! I guess I could have scrolled down to the bottom of the page to see a very similar question.

We always book 2 connecting rooms on DCL cruises as they give us more room (2 bathrooms is huge) and 2 oceanview rooms are typically cheaper than 1 cabin with a balcony.

It's good to know that the Universal standard rooms will hold 5 people.
