Brady Bunch's Sam, Allan Melvin, Dies At 84
Melvin Was Also Cartoon Voice Of 'Magilla Gorilla Allan Melvin, a popular character actor whose credits include "The Brady Bunch", "The Phil Silvers Show" and "Magilla Gorilla" died Thursday in Brentwood. He was 84. Allan Melvin, a character actor best known for playing Sam the Butcher on "The Brady Bunch," has died. He was 84. Melvin died of cancer Thursday at his home in the Brentwood section of Los Angeles, said Amalia Melvin, his wife of 64 years.

I never knew he was also the voice of Magilla Gorilla.  Okay..now I'm gonna have that theme song stuck in my head all day.

I have watched As the World Turns almost my entire life and I will dearly miss Helen Wagner aka Nancy Hughes. She was a true lady and the perfect grandmother type. She will be missed.
