Awww, thank you!! Yes, the cheek muscles do begin to hurt sometimes, but not as much as when I'm frowning--so happy is good!! That is the great thing about these boards: it's so much fun to get caught up in each other's excitement!!! Thanks for being happy with us!!

I assured them that he was only there for an hour or so. But when he got home this afternoon, we found that he had done some shopping while in the airport!! He got CJ some "Cars" and Shay a set of figurines from Snow White. The Mickey Mouse mug is for me. I'm drinking tea out of it right now.

My older two kids (from a previous marriage) are with their dad for a few weeks, so they missed out this time. Oh well, we'll share. What a fun surprise. Now we're watching Snow White. The kids went up into the gameroom last night and gathered every Disney movie we own (probably over thirty). They've made a list, and we're working our way through them. Fun times!!
I Love this!- we are doing the same thing! Hannah watches the disney movies all the time but Paul and I not so much. There are a few we have not seen yet so we are trying to watch them all so we will know who all the characters are!

Your family is so cute!

** Above are the only two must-dos on the list, and we are totally open to suggestions for the rest of our day at SeaWorld. We've been to SeaWorld San Antonio, which has a waterpark included--so I'm not sure what to expect in Orlando (I know there's no waterpark). Also, I haven't found a list of their attractions anywhere online. Their website is not all that user-friendly, IMO. Suggestions on not-to-be-missed attractions at SeaWorld? Links to more info? Please let me know! We'll only have a half-day to spend there, maybe a little longer depending on how the morning goes at US.
------

EPCOT (half-day in the morning, then on to DHS)

"Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" Movie Set Adventure
------

ANIMAL KINGDOM (full day)
The Boneyard
Expedition Everest
Festival of the Lion King
Finding Nemo--The Musical
Fossil Fun Games
Kilimanjaro Safari

It's Tough to be a Bug
Kali River Rapids
Pangani Forest Exploration Trail
The Oasis Exhibits

** If we finish up early enough at AK, we may go back to another park (most likely MK) and check out some things we missed since this will be our last day. OR maybe we'll just head back to GKTW for the CandyLand Party and chill. It just depends on how exhausted we are!

I know I'm dreaming to even hope to get all this done, but it feels good to see everything listed out in print!! I welcome all comments and suggestions. Thanks for reading!!!

Dumbo

I just have to say that I think Dumbo is possibly the saddest Disney movie ever made. I have never been able to watch the "Mad Elephant rail car" scene without crying...you know, the one where Mrs. Jumbo is in chains and she sticks her trunk out the window to rock baby Dumbo to the song "Baby of Mine"? What a tear jerker!! As you can tell, we are still in the midst of a Disney movie-watching marathon...

Wow Amy, you have a lot planned. You may want to allow yourself freedom to be flexible.

Other MK to-dos if we have time:
Aerial's Grotto
Storytime with Belle
The Hall of Presidents
Tomorrowland Indy Speedway
Dream Along with Mickey Show
Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor
------

US ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE (full day)

One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish

You should have plenty of time for all of that.

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS (half-day in a.m., then on to SeaWorld)

Shrek 4-D
Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast
Men-in-Black Alien Attack
E.T. Adventure
Curious George Goes to Town
Fievel's Playground
------
Great plan.

SEAWORLD (half-day in p.m.)
Feed the dolphins
Shamu's Believe show
** Above are the only two must-dos on the list, and we are totally open to suggestions for the rest of our day at SeaWorld. We've been to SeaWorld San Antonio, which has a waterpark included--so I'm not sure what to expect in Orlando (I know there's no waterpark). ------
The penguin exhibit and Wild Arctic rock! We missed the Blue Horizons show but here that it is worth the while, if you like shows.

EPCOT (half-day in the morning, then on to DHS)
World Showcase (just a quick walk-through to snap a few pics & maybe see some characters)
Journey into Imagination with Figment (Is this worth doing? Thoughts??

Figment is geared to small children for sure. The hands on exhibit when you exit is kind of fun.

Why do some not like it? What's not to like?)
Mission: SPACE
Soarin'
Test Track
The Seas with Nemo and Friends (do you have to do this in order to do Turtle Talk? Should we skip this?)

There is no connection between the two, except that they are adjacent. We enjoyed the Seas because we were trying to figure out how they put 3-D projections in the water with real fish. It was pretty cool, but definitely not a thrill.

Turtle Talk with Crush

Other EPCOT to-dos if we have time:
Universe of Energy (Should we skip this?)
Spaceship Earth (Is this worth doing? I've heard good and bad.)
------
We liked Ellen's Energy adventure, but it geared to smaller kids and is a bit academic. Spaceship earth was closed when we were there, being renovated.

HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS (half-day in the afternoon)
Beauty and the Beast-Live on Stage
High School Musical 2: School's Out!
Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular
Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show
Mickey Avenue Character Greetings
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith
Star Tours--the ultimate Star Wars thrill ride
Jedi Training Academy
Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
Toy Story Mania!
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
Fantasmic @ 9pm

Uh.... all of this in half a day? You have about 3 1/2 hours of shows and Jedi training.

Other HS to-dos if we have time:
The Great Movie Ride (can this be skipped?)
It was only OKAY.

Muppet Vision 3-D (we may skip this)
Missed this.

"Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" Movie Set Adventure]
Missed this
------

ANIMAL KINGDOM (full day)
The Boneyard
Expedition Everest
Festival of the Lion King
Finding Nemo--The Musical
Fossil Fun Games
Kilimanjaro Safari
Maharajah Jungle Trek
Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade @ 4pm
Pocohontas and Her Forest Friends
Primeval Whirl
TriceraTop Spin

It can get hot there. Maybe that is only psychological since you are in Africa and Asia, but it seemed hot at times. Kali River could be a welcome cool down, and does not take long to do.

Other AK to-dos if we have time:
Affection Section
Camp Minnie-Mickey Greeting Trails
Conservation Station
Dinosaur
It's Tough to be a Bug
Kali River Rapids
Pangani Forest Exploration Trail
The Oasis Exhibits

Amy, you are such a special lady, and super Mom! You are right about being too ambitious with what you can really get done in a day. I would sure prioritize MK and DHS attractions.
Thanks for reading!!!
You are going to have so much fun.

Aerial's Grotto This one won't take long....make sure the cast memeber at the entrance sees you and they will lead you to the exit...right up to Ariel...you will bypass the LONG line that is waiting there!
Storytime with Belle DD got to be in this, so it was fun for us, we just "happened" upon it a the right time..it wasn't in our schedule!!
The Hall of Presidentscould miss this
Tomorrowland Indy Speedway could miss this
Dream Along with Mickey ShowWe loved this..DD was in awe the entire time
Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floorwe enjoyed this as well

World Showcase (just a quick walk-through to snap a few pics & maybe see some characters)
Journey into Imagination with Figment (Is this worth doing? Thoughts?? Why do some not like it? What's not to like?)can't remember what exactly this is, proabably because I haven't done it in a long time, can't help you there

Test Track
The Seas with Nemo and Friends (do you have to do this in order to do Turtle Talk? Should we skip this?) You do not have to do this in order to do turtle talk, I liked it, i thought it was cute....older kids may think it is not to there liking
Turtle Talk with Crush

Other EPCOT to-dos if we have time:
Universe of Energy (Should we skip this?)
Spaceship Earth (Is this worth doing? I've heard good and bad.) it is a slow moving ride, very enjoyable if you need a break in the airconditioning...not one I would "have" to do though
------

HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS (half-day in the afternoon)
Beauty and the Beast-Live on Stage love this!!
High School Musical 2: School's Out!
Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacularwe missed both this and LMA stunt show will have to save it for next time!!!

Camp Minnie-Mickey Greeting Trailsdo this when you go to see the Lion King, there will be no CM's at the end of the line, go up through the exit and make sure the CM by the character notices you, you will get stared at by the people in the line, but don't worry about it
Conservation Station
Dinosaur
It's Tough to be a BugLove this, would try and fit this in if you could

You will be busy!!! But, remember, go with the flow, you may not make it to all of those things, but there will be unexpected moments that make it that much better. The GAC will help you to see most of it in a timely manner, gotta love those GAC's! (and MAW buttons!!)

Thank you, Bill!! I knew I was being too ambitious, but there is just too much to do, especially in MK. I think HS will be more manageable because we'll have the afternoon and evening, and I think we can probably split up (girls/boys) and do a few things. For example, my husband is not too excited about the shows like Beauty and the Beast, but for me (and my daughters) that is a must-do! I, on the other hand, could live without seeing Indiana Jones. I will take your advice and prioritize...and try to whittle away some. But what, when everything is so important?? Oh well, I guess it's a good problem to have! You're right, I know we will have fun. I don't want to be ridiculous about it. I really am flexible--truly, I am and will be when we're there. I don't want to wear us out!! Thank you SO MUCH for your advice!!! It is so awesome of you to spend time advising us the way you do. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My question is what is it like to go back post-MAW? We will feel so spoiled and well taken care of!! I am truly trying to convince myself to take it easy. I can't wait to see what kind of special moments are in store....

You are Welcome

Amy,

You are so welcome to the help. Like I said, I really enjoy this.

It would be a good idea to split up for shows at DHS, but be sure to check on show times when you get to the park.

I was surprised to see how early some of the shows ended.

Dividing forces at WDW

Amy,

If you decide to divide forces part of the time at DHS, you might want to consider a few things.

When we split up, we ended up with one group waiting for a long time for the others since it is hard to tell how long an attraction will take. This should not be a problem with shows, since they have a specified start and stop time (as long as each group is able to get in the show they are planning to see and don't have to wait until the next one). Cell phones are pretty crucial at this point.

Sometimes we were able to use the GAC to get one group in one attraction, then pass it off to the other group so they could do something different. We had a bit of trouble about his with our GAP at IOA. Lysi did not want to do a specific ride. Kyle and I got in by Lin showing the GAP then leaving with it. When we got to the boarding area we were turned back. A senior Team Member helped us go back in and get on the ride, but this wasted time.

We also ended up enjoying doing the attractions together even if someone would not have chosen that ride. It was fun to watch Lysi enjoy things so much.

If you do split up, it might be better to plan to meet in a playground area or store where there is at least something to do while waiting.

Hmmm...I hadn't thought about having only one GAC, but I see what you're saying. Honestly, for the most part I hope to stay together no matter what...unless it comes down to someone missing something they truly want to do. It sounds like we need to cut the list down some more!! My husband is bad about not bringing his cell phone to places when he knows I have mine, but I'll have to make sure we both have our phones for the reasons you mentioned. I think I would just be beside myself if I had to stand around and wait for the others, just wasting time. Of course, if I were shopping in a store, that would not be time wasted. However, it's a curiosity how much more quickly my husband appears if he knows I'm shopping while I'm waiting on him--LOL!! Thank you for the great tips!!

That is so hilarious! I am the same way about shopping. Tell him that he NEEDS the cell phone though, just to check and see if you are shopping.

But seriously, Amy, the phone is really important. You would be amazed how quickly you can lose each other, just from a bathroom break or something. OH OH, I just remembered. Zip lock bags for cell phones are a must!!!!!!!! This from a guy who once dropped his cell phone in a toilet.
I doused in in alchohol, took it all apart, doused it again, let it dry for a few days and hoped for the best. It was okay, except that the vibrate funtion would turn itself on and off at random, each time vibrating to let me know it was changing. You have no idea how annoying that can be. I took it to the Verizon place. The guy opened it and said, did this get wet... I said... well... actually YES. I did not elaborate. I have a new phone now... HURRAY

On your trip, don't be afraid to try to use the GAC for 2 rides at once.. So one group gets past the entrance and the other takes the GAC to go somewhere else, but there are no guarantees it will work every time. In fact, don't be afraid to ask for WHATEVER you can think of. You will be amazed at the magic CMs can work.
