IBM code for Hilton hotels?

Has anyone (non IBM employees) ever used the IBM code for discounted rates at hilton? did they ask for ID?

my mother wants to stay at the airport hilton for one night before her trip, and the IBM rate is about half of the regular rate.

In the past when I have used a corporate code for a hotel room (not IBM itself) I have had to show my business card from that corporation to get the rate at check-in. Even if it was booked through the company, I had to provide some type of proof. YMMV

This has come up on flyertalk.com and hotels are clamping down. I had to come back to a front desk recently with my temp ID from a company for the discount. As I understand it the IBM discounts are VERY good and as a result the hotels are very strict on those. Save your mother the hassle!

Yes, they require a photo ID or letter if you're on temporary contract.
