So we could bring our own (clear) tube. I'll have to remember that.

P.S. Just wish they'd bring them by my office so we could look out the windows. The C's parade was the day they had our BBQ, so it was a choice between "free food" or the parade. I chose the free food.

The Deluxe rooms (the ones w/ 2 queen beds and a daybed) overlook the quiet pool. There are four of them one on each floor 1-4. The rooms are a large oversized room w/ same furnishings as a standard room. Although, they do have an ottoman and coffe table and robes in the larger closet. Deluxe rooms on 2nd and 4th floor, rooms 2557 & 4557 have great oversized balconies.

The deluxe rooms are not on the concierge, 5th floor, but do have concierge access and IPO services and evening turn down service.

Here are a couple of quick bits of video and a couple of pictures from the Beach Club:

So what parts of SAB do require a tube?

Now the last time I was at BC I specifically asked where the "lazy river" started and I was told there wasn't one! I think I need to look at the Google Earth map!

The "lazy river" is in the "middle pool". It is not a lazy river like BB or TL - it does not surround the entire area. It is more like a lazy pond, but very relaxing if you have an inner tube.

Try this link for an overview of SAB. When you get to the web page click on "Bird's eye" view. The "lazy river" is the donut shape in middle of SAB where two bridges cross over.

Hi HockeyMomR - Just wanted to say that it won't be long! Although I never was able to get YC (had to stick with BC, so jealous of you) I can't wait to be sitting at Beaches and Cream! Maybe we'll meet up!

We are going the last weekend of September (first weekend of food and wine); does anyone know about what time SAB closes?

In the summer time, it usually stays open until 10 PM... opens at 8 AM. Last August, it was open until 10 PM. Late September, not sure if that would be summer hours. If not, then 8 PM.

Hi Robyn - We are getting close. Sorry about the YC news, I know you really wanted that, but just have to love the BC too! If you really want, maybe you could ask about YC at check in? For some reason last year, when we went to check in at BC, the CM asked if we would be O.K. switching to YC. Of course we said yes, as our family is usually split YC vs. BC.

Our beloved 3 year old Australian Terrier (dog) was just diagnosed a little over a week ago with a life threatening illness. So, I have been a little preoccupied with that, he is doing well the past couple of days and hope he continues to improve. We hope he continues on this improvement trend and we can leave him safely with my parents for our trip!

I have been thinking of my last minute Disney to do list! How about you? I am sure your entire family is getting very excited. I haven't started packing, but probably next week. Only 18 days on my ticker Would love to meet you!

You may want to search these boards some. I think it was in the tip forum. The heading was something like I just got back any questions about SAB. Someone said they could not use their own tubes.

With regards to Stormalong Bay, do you need to use a tube for the lazy river? My husband figures I'm going to spend a lot of time there, but at $10 per day, I'm not sure I want to do that. (Hmm, maybe I should make friends with another guest and we can share the price of the tube.)[/QUOTE]

Someone posted you can purchase a noodle for $4.00 at SAB. They said they were able to use it during their stay.

We were just at the BC in May. On our first day at the pool a family gave our kids two noodles because they were leaving to go back home. We did rent tubes a couple of times, but most of the time we could find stray ones just floating around. There are plenty of people who just swim along with no tube, so that is fine too. It's really just a short trip around one small circle, so it's not something you'd probably want to do for the whole day. But we did enjoy it.
