Question Has anyone used the concierge collection?

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone had used the concierge collection before? How easy was it to do? was there the $95 arrangement fee like if you book with II?

We are considering this for 2009 as we want to visit NY before going to WDW.

Any comments are appreciated

Thanks

Hi, happy Sunday. We've used Concierge lots of times. Unfortunately in their wisdom DVC have greatly reduced the number of hotels they used to have in their collection, i.e. Charleston, Boston, Phoenix.

Anyway, we have only good things to say about our experiences. It is very easy to arrange. Just call Member Services and they will actually book the hotels while you are on the line. It does cost $95.00 to arrange.

We stayed in the Loews Regency in NYC last August and really loved it. It is a very nice hotel, we had a very big room, the staff are wonderful and it is in the best location for shopping, walking, restaurants, Central Park, etc., etc. In fact, we loved it so much that we are staying there again at the end of April next year on our way down to Orlando. If you need any other info, please feel free to ask.

That's good to know. We're hoping to book 10 nights at the Resort at Squaw Creek, Lake Tahoe for Easter 2010...

Thanks for all the info

Have you already booked for your visit in 2009?

I am just wondering when the 2009 points charts become available and if the hotel will still be on it. (I've noticed they have dropped anumber of hotels )

Can you book 11months out like your home dvc resort?

Thank you for your help - Glad to know you enjoyed the hotel.
