They don't have a blog. I think I'll send them a link to this thread so they can see our comments here.

It is on my list, too! That explanation by Disney baby was very helpful. I'll have to play with that soon!

Okay Jessica I looked at your layouts through your link and I am so jealous!!!! Did you do them all in CM? If so, how did you make the words go all around your page? I am still learning the program and the consultant that I purchased it from knows less than I do so I hope you don't mind the questions!! Thanks, Tiffany

Yes, I did them all in SBC+, except the Birthday one which I did in Digital Image Pro because my laptop with SBC+ on it was broken that day! It is easy-peasy to make the words go around the page. You just make a long skinny text box for the top of the page, type in your words so they fit across the whole page, then copy and paste that text box, right click on it, click properties, and rotate the box 9o degrees. Now you have your words for the right side of the page! Do this two more times, rotating 180 and 270 degrees and you have the other two sides of the box! Make sense? I'm happy to answer questions, I'm still figuring it all out myself, that's why I started this thread!

BTW, I just started a blog today. I think I'll try and put some of the FAQ's about SBC+ on it as I get time, so keep the questions coming!!

Cool blog Jessica -- can't wait to watch it evolve!

I don't know if you guys have seen Trish's blog, but she has LOTs of cute template freebies in .png format. They aren't as user friendly as Jessica's awesome SBC+ freebies, but there are some cute ones.... you can scroll through several pages of her older posts and grab a bunch.

I downloaded the Disney Digital PP, the Mickey add-ons, and the 12x12 predesigned pages this morning. Here is my review:

I really like the PP and the Mickey add on. Lots of great colors and papers and cool Disney Embellishments. I love that they included Chip & Dale in the embellies as well as a princess sticker in the main kit. The predesigned pages are somewhat disappointing. The layouts are boring and I didn't see anything that really wowed me. So, I give the PP and Mickey kit 4.5 out of 5 stars and the Predesigned pages 2 out of 5 stars. That's my review!

Wow - you are fast - I just got home from church and saw your post!

I agree - I would skip the predesigned pages and just buy the Power Palette kit and the addtions. I do really like the additions for Princess, Cars, Hanna Montana, Pooh and Mickey! I also like the non disney stuff and new embellishments. I just spent $140.95!!!

Additiction is a terrible thing!!

Wow -- you went crazy! I only got the three Disney things I mentioned. I might get the Pooh and Cars add-ons at some point, but not right now. I didn't get their embellishments because I thought they were kind of pricey and I have a bunch of clips and stuff from other kits that will hold me for now! I"m having a Cm party in June to try and get some of the paper Disney stuff at a discount. I want the whole paper collection, too!!

new here!

I just purchased the SBC+ software and the memory management 2.0 software - I should have it all Wednesday. I can't WAIT to get started with it and just play around and figure things out! We are taking a trip to WDW in October, but I want to be really comfortable with the programs before I get back and start working on an album!!

I am going to start working on a digital album of pictures from Germany when I receive it. I look forward to getting some tips from you guys!

Okay guys I purchased the Princess stuff, the Predesigned pages and the Disney Vacation PP. I also got the word art but can't get it to download. So far I like everything. Not crazy about the predesigned pages but they work fast and look better when I add my own embellishments.

I have a question. How do you upload your layout and post them to a gallery? Also does anyone use Windows Vista? I am trying to upload more fonts and can't figure it out at all!! Even with two tutorials from the net! HELP!!!! Tiffany

Hi There-- Several of the links are not working... including the word art... here is the response I got today from CM:

Thank you for contacting us regarding digital downloads. We are aware that there is a problem with these links and we are working very hard to get them fixed. Please tell your customer that we are very sorry for the inconvenience and she should be able to download them this evening.

If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to contact Consultant Services at (888)227-6748 Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. CT.

I have Vista.... To download fonts, I just download them and "extract" them as I would anything else. Then, I right click on the file and choose "install" from the menu that pops up....

To upload layouts here, you have to first upload them to a photo storage site like Photobucket, Flickr, Smugmug, etc. (These are free. I like Photobucket.) Then you just cut and paste the [img] code in your post and it should appear. To upload to an actual gallery (like Scrapmatters Gallery), you have to save your layout as a jpeg (save in lower resolution for web) and then upload it directly into their gallery from your computer.

Hope that helps. I agree about the CM predesigned pages being just "ok." I do like to have them, though, because sometimes they give me a little springboard -- and, like you said, once I spruce them up with my own stuff, they look pretty good.

Christy,

Thanks for the help! The word art downloaded just fine this am. Are you a CM consultant? If so pass on your website and I will order from you. I just had to search for a consultant in my area so I have not ties to anyone.

Thanks again, Tiffany

We'll see how that goes!
Were you ever able to upload some of the templates?

I am new to digital scrapbooking and have been playing around with SBC+. I really like what I have been able to do so far!!

Has anyone watched the 3 tutorials online yet? I am going to watch them this weekend and try to learn some more stuff.

Any more tips? Everyone here is ssssoooo creative and ssssoooo good at all of this!!

I have not been able to upload any templates except CM. It could be because I have Vista which I hate!!!! I have lots of problems getting it to do what I want. I also made a HUGE goof and tried to export my kits so I could better organzie them. I thought I had lost ALL of my embellishments, papers, alphas, etc. I am going to work on putting them all back this weekend.

Hopefully Jessica will have more info on the templates she was trying to make soon!!
