Can flour tortillas be frozen?

I bought five packages of flour tortillas at a great price on sale...does anyone know if I can freeze them till I need them?
If not, my next post will be asking for recipes to use up a lot of flour tortillas!

I used to freeze them. Sometimes when you go to use them a few will fall apart, but for the most part they were fine.

If they are made from scratch you will never know the difference. If they are made with the mix where you just add water ...good luck.... If they are store bought they should be ok but not as tasty. Hope this helps.

We buy a big package at Sam's every month and freeze what we don't use that week. I just take out a stack the day before I plan to use them and they are fine. We have never had a problem with them sticking together!

Wow, thanks everyone for the responses! We mainly use tortillas for making quesadillas in our quesadilla maker-usually on nights when the kids all have something at different times overlapping dinnertime. I have the meat or chicken, shredded cheese, etc. ready, and then everyone just makes their own quesadilla when they are able to eat.

I will go ahead and freeze the extra!

Turtlegirl1, I would love the chicken enchilada recipe if you can post it!

Thanks again!
