couple questions about Coronado Springs
Just yesterday, my husband and I decided to take our 3 year old son to WDW on Saturday (yes - in 5 days!!) I have been there six times, but my last trip was about 10 years ago, so I'm a bit rusty (and I've never been there with a preschool age child).
I have used the search feature here (quite a bit) but there is SO MUCH information (great info, at that) and it is hard to sift through it all to find the answers to my questions (especially given the very close proximity of our very spontaneous trip). Enough of that. Here are my questions: 1 - We are staying at the Coronado Springs. Is there a "best" area to stay to be close-ish to the food and the pool (fit for a three year old)? 2 - Do you know if I can even request a specific section of the hotel and (if so) how likely they are to honor my request? 3 - Anything else I should know?? Thanks a bunch!

I've never requested a location but Buzz, a fellow DISser and CSR expert has the prime locations listed on his site: ************************************** |

We have two kids and we've stayed in Cabanas each time. The best one is 9b, it is very close to the main bus stop and the main building where the Pepper Market is and the pool is maybe a 10 minute walk. Last year we were in Cabanas 8b and we were fairly close to bus-stop #4 (we faced the parking lot and were right on the end of the building so we could see it from outside our room). The PM was about a 10-12 minute walk.
We love CSR! Hope you have a great time! I would love to take a quick trip, but I'm restraining myself - our next trip is in Sept!

Since you are going on Saturday, call ASAP to make your request. Rooms are assigned a few days before you get there. If you don't have a request noted, you will be assigned any room.
Just call Disney and add that to your reservation. You can request almost anything you would like. |

Depending on what you want to be close to, here are some good building choices.
Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site (main pool) over the wooden bridge. Most convenient location and most preferred. Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site (and playground) and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building. (Closest to the Pool) Cabana 8b and 9a are in between the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool. Ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a. Casita 1 is attached to the main building and is very close to the restaurants. Casita 3 has great courtyard and fountain views but you will have to walk or ride the internal shuttle to get to the pool. Casita 5 has some nice fountain and lake views and is close to the Dig Site but farther from the main building. Close to bus stop #2. |

Have a WONDERFUL trip!! I'm going down on Sunday but staying at the POP and wish I could be at CSR! I'm only staying one night though and not getting in til late so POP made the most economical sense. I might even stop over at CSR just to walk the beautiful grounds
