CBC Radio One 5/7 11:30am EST - VMK topic - The DIS Discussion Forums

OK So for all you Canadians it will be tomorrow 5/7 at 11:30am (I think EST) on CBC Radio 1.

For the rest of us, it will become available after midnight on that evening.

Woot for the radio but can i just point out not everybody is american or canadian, so us over the ocean still wont hear it.

Wouldn't you be able to hear it online after the fact when a link is up?

Probably yes. I am looking forward to hearing this.

I'm pretty sure it's only videos/music which are blocked from non US/Canadian users.

I called CBC Canada and the lady told me this is airing during the program called "Sounds Like Canada" and gave me the link of where to go and listen to it.

http://www.cbc.ca/soundslikecanada/ on the right side of the page is a link that says 'listen to CBC radio' -- this will take you to a map of Canada, I am not sure the location which will air it, that she didnt know, so check the main ones first, Toronto or Vancouver

Oh dear..

I'm sorry they told you it was airing on Sounds Like Canada. That is an error I assure you. It is airing on a program called "Spark". Aengus will post the podcast link once it has aired I'm sure.

There is streaming audio from CBC Radio One (Toronto) available at the link below. If you were to chose Toronto (CBLA), Spark would be airing at 11:30am Eastern Time.

Spark is a National show so it will air in each region at 11:30am local time.

I apologize that you were given bad information. You can trust me here, I work there, spoke in the piece myself and dragged Aengus into all this. SLC (which airs at 10:05am local time) will be airing a live cross country phone in show tomorrow..

Hi Terri.M,

It will air at 11:30am local time in each region.. so that means 11:30am (PT) in B.C. too. I know that sounds odd but we actually air all national shows five times so that they are heard in each time zone at the correct time for them. That way you really get World at Six at 6pm and so does everyone else.

Wow I heard it. So I think Aengus is your REAL Name ! HAH ! Gotcha! (grin) I hope the US NPR radio will pick this up. You were right on the mark there. Great interview, wonderful info and even had an expert there from MIT to give more depth to the program. So interesting I listened to it twice! Thanks for posting the link.
