Bob, Kevin & Julie - Your Cheese is on its Way!

Greetings from Wisconsin!

I was first able to listen to this week's podcast this morning (Friday) on the way to work. As you were discussing the chocolates that were sent in, I started thinking to myself that I should send down some cheese - specifically cheese curds. Lo and behold, less than a minute later, there's Julie requesting cheese from Wisconsin!

So... Bob, Kevin and Julie - consider your cheese on its way! It's up to you if you want to share.

There's a small cheese producer less than 5 miles from my house where I'll picking up your cheese curds tomorrow - the curds are usually so fresh that they're still warm (yummy!). If you have any specific cheese requests (sharp, mild, cheddar, colby, etc.), let me know before Saturday a.m. and I'll see what I can do to accommodate!

I *love* squeaky cheese (curds)!!! In our neck of the woods we have the Tillamook Cheese factory and no trip to the coast is complete until we've stopped and had an ice cream cone and picked up some curds. Not too good for my diet...but a girl's got to splurge every now and again, right?

We live close to the Amana Colonies, and they have a cheese factory there. We love to go and get cheese curds, but I can hardly stand the smell of the place.

Depending on where you are in the Chicago area, you could be less than 2 hours from my house. That's just a 4 hour commitment (round trip) to get fresh, warm cheese curds. That's a bargain in my book!

My mom was raised in Pulaski, WI, I spent many summers there. The milk from my grandfathers cows went straight to the cheese factory.

I miss those days.......

Darn, you beat me to it! I'm from La Crosse, home of the world's largest 6 pack and world record for most bars on one street. Maybe they want some beer to go with that cheese?

When I was at Disney as a CP, the two things I missed most in terms of food was friday night fish fry and cheese curds. This time I'll be plenty prepared with my own stash when I go down in January!

You're welcome, Julie. Just a small 'thanks' for all the you've given to me during the last couple of years of listening to the podcast.

I think that the beer would be appropriate for the Corey 'care package'! Maybe some Sprecher?

Cheese curds??? I used to go to Wisconsin several times a year (for work ) and I never had them. Sounds like I really missed out.

Maybe this could be a "Core" package?!? Okay... that was a long way to go for a laugh... (a groan maybe?)

My wife and I were the ones who sent the chocolates. It wasn't much really. However, I feel like we got our own segment! Too bad no envelope.

At least we have a shiny new sponsor plaque. All we need now is a new tag from the tag fairy and our dreams are complete!

Thanks p-cast team! Y'all rock! (Corey & Julie, was that the correct use of "y'all"? I'm a northerner!)

I'm a little farther north: Sheboygan county - truly the land of cheese and brats!
