I just checked their site and they paid me what it says their rates are today. Guess I can't complain about that. I changed my payment option to a check because I figured the paypal fee to be about $6. I can wait another couple days.

Here's my breakdown: 10K .3 DWT $10.83/dwt = $3.25 14K 11.7 DWT $15.18/dwt = $177.61 total $180.86 FYI: when I changed it from check to paypal, it said both of those options were free. I did not see a $6 charge from goldfellow for paypal. There was a fee for other methods like wire transfers, but I didn't really look at those closely. |

I just got my statement from gold fellow. Here's how mine broke down:
14 Karat Pennyweight (DWT)11.8 Price per DWT$13.80 Settlement $162.84 18 Karat Pennyweight (DWT)1.8 Price per DWT $17.74 Settlement $31.93 Total- $194.77 Not bad for some old broken jewelry. I don't see on usgoldbuyers website how much they pay for smaller amounts of gold (under 5 oz.) Does anyone here know? I have a couple of old rings and earrings that I would sell, but they have stones in them. If usgoldbuyers is paying more then I'll use them.

Paypal lists their fees as 2.9% plus 30 cents per transaction.
My breakdown was : 1.7 Dwt 10K @ 9.86= 16.76 12.5 Dwt 14K @ 13.80=172.50 Total 189.26 |

i just went through my old jewerly and have a bunch of stuff to give to
us gold finders my dh works in nyc so he will go in person . they said the london price as of today is $983.25 and they pay you 96% of that amount not bad. the funny thing about it is I had some really ugly jewerly oh well, more spending money on my april cruise I hope he will go tomorrow and I will let you know what amount I get!! also, i did ask them about 6 years ago I found this 14 k gold bracelet with 6 diamonds/6 rubies in them. are they real I don't know howeveri figure since the bracet is 14 k gold they might be. anyway i asked them what happens if there are stones in some of the jewerly I give them, they said the gemoligist (spelliing ) will appriase it for my husband plus the price of gold, the bracelet weigh approx 1/2 oz I do know it will probably be less in their eyes. I can't wait to hear how much I get!!!!

I had gone to a local place in Chicago first and received a pretty good offer- this was the breakdown for me: 6 pennyweight (dwt) of 10k; price of 15.5 per dwt = $93 15 dwt of 18k; price of $30 per dwt = $450 30 dwt of 14k; price of $22.50 per dwt =$675 total offer was $1225 (I think he bumped it up a little to include a gem stone?) While I thought that was a pretty good offer, I decided to try usgoldbuyers. I looked at their chart and took off 10% (since this is what they said to expect for less than 5 oz), and I still thought I should receive about $1300 from them. Indeed, they offered $1320.

Found out why I was paid more from goldfellow.com than other poster. I've received an email from their owner. Seems they recognized my envelope from my posts here that included the photo of what I was sending. He instructed them to pay me 10% more (or the next level up). And now they've done the same for ncmtnmom since they identified her envelope from her info.
His email says that if you include a note in your envelope stating you are a DISboards member, that you'll also receive the 10% increase. The DIS obviously banned him for breaking the soliciting rule, so he can't post here anymore. I hope this post does NOT get me into trouble. I'm simply explaining why ncmtnmom & I were not paid the same initially & explaining how others can also receive the extra. While I'm pleased with my experience with goldfellow.com thus far, I still find it unusual for an owner to post on a message board & to go to the trouble of finding my envelope & matching it up with my account & sending me emails & phone calls. The communication process has been very good. I don't know if its normal or if its because I was vocal about my skeptism, but I'm very pleased for it. Maybe communicating with us small customers isn't so bad after all. lol |

Thank you to all of you for this great information. I just requested an envelope from US Gold Buyers too. I'll let you know how it goes. I have several chains that are broken and old items from my teenage years. Glad to clean up this stuff and save for our next Disney Trip!
Everyone keep up the posts, it is very interesting. I have about 6 grams of 10K gold so I have no ideal what I will be getting but I am going to also keep looking. Lisa in Indiana

I am happy with what I received from goldfellow! I got twice what they wanted to pay locally.
I'm a happy camper! With 5 kids, a disney trip, and a kid graduating this year things are expensive around here!! |

I am sending my gold out to USGoldBuyers- seems like they are paying the most. I'll let you all know. I have a total of 32.1 grams or 1.13 oz. Thanks to a scales I bought off of E-Bay!
