Nachi Cocom, Cozumel

Has anyone ever spent the day at Nachi Cocom Beach Club? I've been reading reviews on other sites and it looks like a nice place to have a beach day. If you went , did you buy the all-inclusive day package ($49.00) from Island Marketing or did you just pay the $20.00 admission fee at the beach club?

We just came off the February 9th Western and spent the day at Nachi Cocum. We bought the all-inclusive package.

I have to say that on the way there, we were a little nervous. Flashes of that movie where the tourists get kidnapped and sold for body parts were flashing in our heads. Since I was the one who planned this, my kids were like "Um, Mom? Where exactly did you hear of this place?"

Then we pulled up in front of the place and wasn't feeling any better about it. I expected to see chickens and goats running by any second. We were met by a lady hoding a camera and some sombreros. She then directed us to put the sombreros on our heads so she could take our picture. (The picture is a riot, the fear in our faces was quite apparent. )

We were then taken through the gate and into the resort and it was beautiful!! (Thank goodness because I would have never heard the end of it! ) If you want a quiet beach day, this is the place to go.

Did you think the all-inclusive price was worth it? I read on one site that it is $20.00 admission, not sure if that's for everyone or if it's less for kids. Even if it is for everyone, it's a $29.00 difference for adults and $9.00 for kids. Will we eat/drink that much?

Also, do you recall the price of your taxi? Were you able to just get the taxi at the port?

I've pretty much decided that we'll go, now I just have to decide which option . Thanks so much for all the help!

We think it was worth it. I can't remember what they charged for the little kids.

There were eight of us in the one taxi and they were plenty waiting when we stepped off the ship, they charged us 5.00 each. When we were ready to go back to the ship, the Nachi Cocum people called for a taxi for us.

I'm leaving for work but I could post some pictures this afternoon if you would like to see them.

We were there too that day, tevagirl!

We thought the $49 price tag was worth it. It included an open bar and three course meal and your own waiter tending to you hand and foot. The setting was beautiful and the pool quite nice.

The margaritas were great, and the food was fantastic! We got the nachos, quacamole, these amazing soups and quesadillas. The food was really Mexican authentic.

It was a $15 cab ride each way total for the 3 of us.

I'm planning to take a group of friends bach there in October!

Is there a web address for this place? When I just type in the name I come up with a bunch of "adult" websites.

I'll try to post some tonight. I'm at my daughter's babysitting right now. It really was a nice place.

I can't believe Jodi was there the same time!

This place was amazing!! We were there in December and are planning to go back next year. We got the package online and it was well worth it. We never had an empty glass, and they kept the chips and guac coming all day. DH and the two older kids rented jet skis (by the 1/2 hour) and had a great time, much better than Castaway Cay. We also rented snorkeling gear and a kyak for the kids. Here are some pics:

The Pool:

This is how crowded the beach was with 7 ships in port:

There was an eating area, but we just ate on the beach:

How are you booking this online? I went to the site, and clicked on the "contact us" link. But when I type in a message and click submit, I keep getting an error message.

Thanks for any help!
