Me too - it will be interesting to see how the story developes with more of a religious tone.

go to annerice.com she has a blog about it. I'm really excited and hope she does write it. I loved how she tied the Mayfair witches with the Vampires.

I'm glad, but a little apprehensive. I really hope it's not like her later Lestat books, after she re-found her religious roots.

you know I worried this would happen since she became a born again...I"m not sure I want to read about my beloved characters( gosh I have to love them...I named my kitty Lestat) with her new religous slant on them...I worry it will just not be anywhere near the same feel, how could it be? She even states that it won't be the same...I guess I'll decide once it gets here whether I even want to try reading it or not.

I feel the same way. I am excited that there will be new book but can't help but wonder how it will be. I guess only time will tell, but at this point I am not expecting much.

I am anxious to get another Vampire Chronicle but like the rest of you I am alittle apprehensive. Has anyone read her religious books? I had heard they are good. I've just have never had any interest in reading them. I still prefer her early vampire novels compared to the last few in the Vampire Chronicles. I guess we'll see -I'm willing to give it a shot. I just would like to read about Lestat one more time.

I quoted this because I agree with it...all except the willing to give it a shot part. I have to admit, I was really disappointed several times in "Tale Of The Body Thief". Somehow the comparison of Lestat to James Bond just chucked me right out of the story. I was not impressed with Memnoch and stopped reading her vampire books there. Most of the Mayfair Witches read to me like a poor attempt to set up yet another book and make the author even more money. I suppose I may check it out of the library but I am by no means frothing at the mouth in anticipation.

I have read all the vampire books, mayfair witches and can say I loved everyone of them. I do admit that the Memnoch book was a tough read. I just couldnt get past the entire creation/evolution thing---slllloooooowwwww.

Annes most recent book about Jesus was very well written. I must say that I really enjoyed it. I even cried. I am not an overly religious person but do believe in God and this book was very touching. It wasnt the type of book to shove religion down your throat, it was a story about a small boy and his family. I am really looking forward to the next one
