My Big Redneck Wedding on CMT

Worse than a trainwreck. Tom Arnold is the perfect narrator though!

some of that HAS to be staged

even though I live near WV..and have seen my share of 'rednecks'..(no offense to any WV DIS'ers)..some of that just can't be true..did you catch last week's..the girl buys a wedding dress online..she's like a size 28..they send her what she claims is an 8..yet she can get into the dress pretty much of the way..just can't zip it?..somehow I don't think a size 8 would have covered up as much of her as it did..and the budweiser wedding arch?..they have had some good episodes..mattress skiing thru cow plops..the entire wedding party in camoflauge outfits from Walmart..fritos, pork rinds, beans, and such as their wedding 'food'...gifts to each other such as squirrel hunting boots, pink rifles, bowling balls, etc?..too funny..but just seems like some of that is a bit overacted?..

I think the couple has to choose from a theme or something. The young couple that chose the hunting wedding really was so odd. There was no way they could have dreamed that up on their own. I think there must be a list to choose from or something.

i love this show. it has me i really don't think they could have made some of this up. i mean the one guy peed his marriage proposal in the middle of the road. he was actually quite talented. he peed his fiancee's name in the street outside of the florist

My husband and I saw a marathon of these shows one night, and it truly was a train wreck. We could not look away. We kept thinking we'd hit the low point, but each wedding was worse than the one before it. The pink squirrel rifle. The taxidermy centerpieces. The wearing-only-chaps on the horse photo. I'll never forget some of those images. *shiver*

I agree that some of it is so far fetched, it has to be made up but it seems pretty normal to the couple getting married.

I almost fell off the couch while watching the beer arch/pee in the road/wedding dress in the fed ex box couple. When the bride said she couldn't find her teeth and her mother in law to be asks if she wants to borrow her. Gag.

Love this show. :D

And I'm almost ashamed to admit that the "camoflage" wedding was not that far off from the wedding I went to of my redneck Mississippi brother-in-law and his *edited because some people would think this is an ugly word* backwoods Louisiana wife.

One of these were filmed fairly locally to me. I'm not sure if it has been shown yet, but it was a demolition derby redneck wedding.

Hopefully I will get to catch it when its on!!

I only saw the second half of one last night and all I did was laugh, it was soooo bad. It was the beer arch one with the groomsmen dressed in John Deere shirts. Everything the florist suggested was to fru fru. So the centerpieces were in Budweiser cans (the tall ones mind you), the mechanical bull, and the groom complained about the food and said they should have served Hot Pockets. But the best had to be when the bride could find her teeth and her future MIL offered hers

I never even knew this show existed until yesterday when I saw it while flipping channels.

I can't remember the last time I watched TV with my mouth hanging open!

The wedding guests sat on bales of hay while wearing their best ripped t-shirts and jeans, the bride rode in on a donkey or something, and the groom came down the aisle on a 4-wheeler, as did the bridesmaids and grromsmen. The "entertainment" for the wedding was mattress surfing through fields of cowpies! The groom even asked that the cows be let out in the fields ahead of time so that there were plenty of fresh cowpies around. The part that literally shocked me was the mud-wrestling in the kiddie pool. The bride, IN HER WEDDING GOWN, jumped right into the mud and started wrestling someone! When she got out, someone got a hose and hosed her off! You can't make this stuff up.

I got a chuckle out of the bride and groom's gifts to each other. The bride got anti-snake bite boots that were 3 sizes too big because the groom looked at the bottom of her old boots and thought the "6" was a "9". The groom got a wrench set. Unbelievable.

I love that show. I loved the one where they were talking about "constipating" the marriage and she said they'll have safe sex and he said "whatever kind".
